What did you do to your deuce this week?

I had to go check mine. I have the same setup as you - spring (dual) mount at the front of the bed, and then 3 bolted mounts going back the frame.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I think I see the springs on the mounts at the very left edge of the 2nd picture.

    M Series Door Latch Repair

I don't remember it being difficult, so I just took a look. It looks like you remove the door handle (1 screw in the center), and the 3 screws surrounding it, and then remove the 3 screws around the latch. 1 on the interior, and 2 on the back edge of the door, above and below the actual latch...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Just based on what I learned when reading about lifting Jeeps, I would put the shackle at an angle (not 90°). On those, they are worried about the shackle inverting when flexing the suspension off-road. That often ends up bending the spring. If you plan to use the Deuce 4x4 off road, the same...

Behr Paint Jobs- Show me your MV's

I'm not sure about 24084, but the 24087 I got (Not Behr, but the color should be similar no matter the paint) could definitely be considered brown, especially on a computer screen.. It might be worth buying the sample to see if it's right. Then you could test your painting process as well.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I just finished up repacking the bearings on the left side of both rear axles. It's a constant battle to keep the oil out, usually on that side only.

M35a2 - Did not serve - Is painting with military colors disrespectful

I tell people who ask that no, I did not serve. This is my tribute to, way of thanking, and showing pride for those who did. I've had several veterans thank me for that, when truly I am the one who should be thankful for what they did for me.

    Show your 24087 deuces!!!

Forgot about this thread until I started planning the markings for mine. Here's a before/after shot with ~4 years in between: It's nowhere near the quality of some others on here, but it looks so much better! Now I just need to repair/paint the troop seats and bows, and paint the wheels, and...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I don't want to drive mine that far, let alone tow another truck behind, with a trailer! :not worthy:
