So a few weeks after I bought my M1009 the TH400 took a crap. I figured no better time to swap to a NV4500. I searched SS here and about every other forum about trucks and off-roading I could find. Could not find a detailed write up about any modifications or part numbers needed to complete the...
I won't go into great detail about the story I will save that for the NV4500/M1009 Swap thread. If there is interest? (I did not want to fill that up with this question/Info) So after removing my NP208 for my trans swap. I pulled it apart to inspect bearings, gears and replace the seals and...
The TH400 in my M1009 took a crap, I plan on putting a Nv4500 in its place but due to a lack of funds and me needing my truck I'm attempting to get it fixed. So far I’ve only replaced filter and fluid, vacuum tested the modulator valve and found this little rubber fitting on the vacuum regulator...
I am interested in buying A M51a2 But I have no clue as to how I would register/ insure this truck? I don’t own a farm or business so I can’t use that as a way to register it. I don’t have a CDL but it can sit somewhere until I get a CDL, I have looked on the IL DMV site and do not see how I...
It is good to be back on the site I have been much to busy and have finely gotten time to get back here. I am just wondering If anybody has thought of putting a alternative transmission or auxiliary box into the M35. Either more gears for more hill/load pulling choices instead of the large gaps...
I am thinking about buying a welder. I want to purchase a Hobart 140 (Mig) but am not sure about there quality, every one I talk to says get a miller but I don't have the extra funds for that right now or will in a long time. I would only be using it for some small fabrication work but nothing...

Was there ever a M1008/M1028 Pickup crew cab CUCV? This one was in the pic of some trailer thingy on GL it is or was at Fort Lewis WA, (I peruse GL and catalog Military equipment, Specs, pics and general info of things for the heck of it)
Has anybody ever made a "stock" bobber. this is kind of what I was thinking when I said stock. I was thinking I could be a cool project.
Kind of like the WWII chevy G506 cargo
I found these trucks on GL about a year ago. I forgot to copy the GL description but i don't think they have a M designation except for the modified M109/M185. I was wondering if anybody had seen any of these trucks or know any thing about them?
Thanks
