I pulled a rusty frame off a rusty truck while picking up some other parts. The frame rusted along the top. behind the rail that holds the soft top bead. I have removed that bead holder to expose the rusted metal undernethe. Should I remove what solid metal still remains and weld in a new strip...

I think rocker panels have been covered in great detail, now I'm looking to see if anyone has patched/replaced the back corners, cowl, floor and kick panels, and anything else depicted in the pictures. Also as a bonus, my defrost ducts are rusted out too.
Went to replace my parking brake assembly this morning after my old assembly blew up while the truck was being towed. Now I ha e to find a way to anchor the cable until I can precure the proper parts and tap out some broken bolts.
I wanting to switch from the clicker/whale tail handle to the "newer" pull handle with twist adjustment. I have all the parts for the new handle/cable assembly and need to know where i need to place the handle next to the box seat. The floor sorta rotted away and has been patched, but there...
I searched the posts, but I haven't found answers I was needing. How can I get the cab back on the frame without any type of lifting device. The cab is completely stripped down. Any help would be appreciated.

With the weather starting to cool off, I've been working on getting the power plant for the compressor unseized. After sitting most of the summer with ATF in the cylinders, Two cylinders were free, while the other four pushed their liners out. The powerplant is a Waukesha 195 GLC with dry...
I've been working on getting my brakes in working order. New master cylinder, air pack, steel and rubber lines. Working on getting each wheel working. Last time I moved the truck, had a wheel dragging. I finally was able to get the dragging wheel apart by unbolting the wheel cylinder and tapping...
The coolant temperature gauge on my air compressor had an accident. While removing the temperature bulb from the engine, the capillary tube broke inside the bulb, bye-bye ether. Does anyone have a procedure for repairing this type of gauge? I could replace it with another mechanical temp gauge...
After Removing the front panel from my air compressor, I have treated the surface rust. I need help on how to tackle the fatigue cracks around the lower mounting holes.
After many years of waiting, I finally have a permenant home and have my deuce too. It was delivered in March and I have been slowly working on getting her taken apart.
When I was driving her off the flatbed, she had a noticible miss, like the ignition was shutting itself off, so I stripped...
My 25A regulator is overcharging. I have looked at 9-2320-209-35 for adjustments, but my regulator has 4 relays under the cover. What is the 4th relay? what is its adjustment? It will charge correctly for about five minutes, but then peg out at 30v. I have checked the voltage at the batteries. I...
I've finally have made it back down to my parent's house to work on my Deuce. It's been about 4 years since she last ran and now she doesn't want to turn over. Here's what I've done/ have. Before someone says "because it's cold", It was turning over slow before the bottom fell out the...
I need to get my Deuce from Luling, LA to Hawthorne, FL. I think it can be flat towed, but it hasn't moved in 8 yrs. I have a tow bar. It needs to be out of Luling by Aug 30, 2016.
TIA,
Marcus
I've had my deuce for about 14 yrs now, and it just sits and sits since I only see it about a week every year.
Here's a little about my deuce for all the new comers, It is a 1957 M45 Chassis Truck with a 210 CFM Harris Compressor on the back. I need to make this truck road worthy soon before...
I was wondering the feasibility of putting a Spicer 3053 in an A3. Besides finding a proper flywheel/ clutch combination and adapter from engine to transmission. What other problems would there be? It's not something I'm palnning on doing anytime soon, just an idea.
