I'm posting this just in case any of you travelers are heading north near the end of August. We expect about 20 vehicles for display and a 'yet to be determined' number of vendors. I will update as I learn more.

HEIGHT SAFETY ADVISORY
A 'new' thing happened and I'd like to not see it happen again. A last minute flag was added to the Gizmo half way down this parade line. Gizmo is the M135 and the flag was on a fiberglass pole......that's a good thing.......get a fiberglass pole for your flag. Measuring...
We're real ACTIVE up here so instead of ramming everything in the Early Deuce thread I'll share Alberta Canada Trips In Vehicle Events ACTIVE right here.
I wasn't even looking for an acronym to run under but this just fell off the keyboard so we'll go with it.
The local MVPA has been feeding...
My mother was born in 1929 and grew up near this airport. During the war her family housed servicemen and she met people from all over the world as well as stealing a ride in an Anson during a time when civilians didn't normally fly in borrowed military aircraft. Her friend Pat Purdhem(sp) and...
This thread will be open to all Fire Fighters and Service Folks who may have a story on the P-4 Crash truck and all Fire Fighting related stories suited to Steel Soldiers.
The P-4 in the photos will be preserved with Poly Paint with some big hopes the Cat 1693 is healthy enough to make this...
While looking for information on winch safety for my old deuce I was disheartened to see so many good people taken down trying to recover a stuck vehicle.
With those guys in my thoughts I'd like to get as much "Recovery Safety" information all in one place for those who will be anywhere around...
First post and first day on the Steel Soldiers Solutions Site. SSSS
Welcome aboard. I had this same question and X typically mean EXperimental.....Your truck, is an experiment.
Get into the rules and you can find the best way to use the site......and learning to post pictures is the best way...

This truck has been outside for most of it's life and tonight it's in my shop for
preservation and retirement.
It belongs to the family of my brothers girlfriend and I asked if we could save it from it's home in a field.
Their history with it goes back over 4 decades when it was used as a...
This thread is for pictures of your MV in different locations around your hometown or great back-drops where your MV has taken you. It's either shots out the window or stopped with your MV in front of an amazing back-drop.
Include a little info about your location and the vehicle in your photo...
We had a tire pressure gauge fail that allowed an 'over-fill' of 20 psi on an 80 psi tire.
While pouring through Pre-Trip inspections I had one of my 'young guns' grab a tire pressure gauge off the shelf of 10 gauges and help me check the 17 tires carrying us to an airshow this weekend.
While...
Took the M1010 out to the pond today and found this tree laying on a shed. No one was around when the tree went down but the shed was used as an off-grid shower last year...and that would have been one heck of a surprise with soap in your eyes.
As you can see in the pictures the tree snapped off...
These fuel tanks were rotting in a farmers field so we sealed the holes and built a recycled pontoon boat.
I thought that ID'ing the aircraft they belong to would be easy. The fuel cap sits parallel to the mount so I'm almost certain they are both right side, wing tip tanks. It could be...
I put this in the Safety Forum so everyone can get a look at this.
It is also a very safe garage.
6000 sq. ft underground with an aircraft carrier style elevator......yes, elevator.
Enjoy

Is there a written MV collectors "code of conduct" while in public?
Would an SS "code of conduct" be helpful to those who are upcoming MV operators?
While sitting in the M135 surrounded by heavy traffic and performing amazing, courteous defensive driver techniques I wondered of the...
Need a "budget price" for an 'all transport required permits supplied' .......Low boy?, winch truck....haul from

I'm having too much fun in the 1010 not to share the adventure. The latest stroke of genius was to see how deep she'd go. Videos will be posted soon.
If I had any mud experience I would have made it but instead it turned out better then success, learning how to recover buried toys.

While plowin' snow this winter we wore a hole in an oil line coming out of the top of the oil filter plate, with the gear selector linkage. ......R...N...D...N...R....N...D...
We never saw it coming.
It's a potential "wear point" for everyone with this set up and should be...
