    6Tl Battery advice please

I've read all the posts I can find on 6TL Deuce batteries. My Workhorse Interstate Batteries are now dying on me. They are 3 years old and have always been hooked up to the desulfanator/solar unit that was on my '71 M35A2 when I bought it. I guess I did OK reading that most only get 2 years max...

    Injector return line

Where can I get the correct type 1/4 inch plastic return line that is compatable with diesel fuel. The stuff I used looked correct, but swells and softens with no. 2 fuel. I used ferrules, inserts and the old nuts, but the plastic is worrying me. Any leads appreciated, John

My neighbor was hauling scrap to the salvage yard. I have two Dodge M 37's and he said he had a motor and tranny he'd sell me if interested. I bought them from him. After I got home, I noticed they were a little different. No synchros, different shaped things etc. One is complete with bell...

Long distance " Sweet Spot" M35A2

My Dodge 12 valve P pump Cummins gets 19 MPG at 65 MPH and 2000 RPM. At 70 -75 it drops to 12 MPG. That includes pulling a trailer. So, besides putting on lockout hubs, what is the " Sweet Spot " for a Deuce to maximize your MPG? I've been told they get around 8 MPG stock. Up to 13-14 with hubs...

If you need tires and wheels!!!!!!!

If you haven't noticed, some of the 101A1's 3/4 trailers have M37 wheels and tires the same as the M37. I bought two that had brand new ND tires as spares. Painted the rims, and mounted them on my M37. I put the older trucks tires and wheels on as spares. The cost--------------to buy a couple of...

    Amazing Deuce Trip Experience

I drove my '71 AM General 75 miles over into Wyoming to give my Grandson, Granddaughter and Daughter a ride up into the Black Hills of Wyo. and SD. I've driven other toys before, but never got the response I experienced. The people along the entire route waved, pointed, gave me the honk sign...

    Deuce boarding ladder stowage M35A2

I've checked the threads for ideas of where to stow the steel 5 step shop van boarding ladder. Other than cutting a door in the rear panel, any good ideas for stowage in the cargo bed? Obviously needs to be held at the rear so you can pull it out and fit it in the tailgate slots without...

    Deuces and Grandson!

I told my Grandson I was getting a Deuce and sent him the GL picture of it. He loves anything with a diesel in it. His dad has corrupted him------Ha! When he came over with my daughter last weekend, he almost jumped out of their car before it stopped. I was in the drive still cleaning it up. Man...

Help with item ID on my Deuce

I'm deep into fixing all the F U's and issues on my new deuce. Got the hood straightened, am fixing valleys in my hard top with a porta-power, and while straightening the screen guard on my exhaust stack, I noticed a 2 1/2 foot long tubular clamp affair between the passenger door hinge and...

Well, my deuce is sitting in my shop!

From reading all comments while I await my pd in full, I wanted to share knowledge as to how a EUC is processed. I worked for the Farse Circus for two years. Won my Deuce auction at GL----But!

I won my deuce, and am glad to join the frat., but-----I get a sick feeling when they come right out and say that first timers wait 60 days to get approval after paying and submitting your EUC. Any late comments on how long they took to do yours? Are they better or should I put my brain on the...

    Turbo talk

The cool sound of a c turbo is great, a D turbo is quieter. I read it is bigger. Correct? Which one gives the better power and fuel mileage??? I do have to admit if you like the smell of diesel exhaust ( I do) the whine or whistle is mighty cool. Is it hard to swap a D for a C whistler...

    More Deuce info./help

I plan on picking up the Deuce with a big wrecker so I only have to make one trip, and will have no insurance or issues. GL questions on a Deuce purchase

I'm ready to buy one. Once the GL payment and permits are final, I planned on taking batteries (2 -12's) and hoping it starts runs and drives. If it doesn't, I have a dodge diesel pickup and tow chain. What is involved in towing one? Does the air have to be up to release the brakes? Brakes...
