    Moving to Russia

Hey guys, haven't posted here in awhile. Like the title says, I'm moving to Russia. I've been there 6 times in the past but have been kept out because of Covid restrictions and the border being shut down. I am of course interested in Soviet era military vehicles. I have already been an owner...

Question about importing vehicle into US, specifically engine change.

What I need to know for certain is if installing a new, original specification engine into the vehicle will now disqualify from EPA 25 year exemption. I understand that not every vehicle that comes in gets an inspection, and it may not be possible for the inspector to make the determination...

    In Leningrad Today

Well I had a chance to drive my UAZ 452 today after the new engine install. Unfortunately, the alternator belt was loose when I drove it so it had a squeel. I have since tightened it. Now the issue of trying to get it back stateside. There may be a problem... https://youtu.be/D9ktobfY3b8

    Importing UAZ 469 from Russia

I just got back from Russia and found a pretty nice UAZ 469 in St. Petersburg. The dealer has all documentation for the vehicle, but there is no VIN# or ID plate. Dealer says this is normal for cars of this vintage (1980). Question is, will customs have an issue with it. And will it be an...

I'm still here in Russia spending the last week in St Pete. I was luck enough to get to see the full rehearsal for the Victory Day parade yesterday (Sunday). Here is a video I shot of the military vehicle procession.https://youtu.be/4yINCQ4fC5E

I am in Russia now, and am interested in UAZ 452

Hello guys, I have not posted here in awhile. I have gotten rid of my M35 and M105 and am now in Russia searching for a UAZ 452 to bring back. Well there are plenty of them here and the price is reasonable. Any recommendations? I understand that in general as long as it is 25 years old or...

They are out there, will they fit? Seems like a few guys have installed the 5.9. I assume the 6.7 requires more electronics to make it run. Any ideas?

    Opinions Michelin XZL 365/85r20

A little smaller than the 395s I'd think easier to install. According to Michelin limited to 55mph vs 70mph for the 395. Any opinions?

Is this a 5 ton wheel?

I'm guessing this is a 5 ton wheel. I'm only keeping the tires, anyone have any use for these? I'll have 8 of them total. If nobody wants them I'll scrap them out.

Picked up my M105 at Fort Hood today.

I picked up my trailer today at Fort Hood. Very fast on the EUC, less than 10 days. This trailer is really cherry, looks like it never had anything in the bed. New tires, sideboards, bows and a cover. This will look really sweet behind my deuce. Only $256!

    North Carolina to Texas

Anyone planning a trip from NC to TX? There are 11 11.00x20s up there I'm interested in, but can't afford the time to drive or motor carrier shipping costs. I think the time frame is pretty flexible.

Just got deuce home have questions.

I realise some of these questions may have been answered in previous posts, but at the risk of being ridiculed for not using the search function I'll ask anyway. 1. How do you start a deuce? There are throttle and engine stop pull knobs sticking out of the dash. The throttle is self...

    Finally won the Deuce

I think I did pretty good on this one. Did not get a chance to preview, but I'll hope for the best. Good news is it is only 75 miles from the house. This is the 4th GL auction I've won, but the first that required an EUC. Hopefully won't be to much of a hassle. 2320 - Trucks & Truck Tractors...

    Deuce missing instrument panel

Hello, I looked at a M35A2 duece the other day on a local GL lot. The unit appears to be in restored? conditon as it has newer looking paint, tires, upolstery, top and other items that tend to disintigrate over time. Running conditon is unknown as is the make. However, for some reason, the...
