I just posted this at the end (at least for now) of another long thread and thought it deserved it's own thread.
1948 Chevy 3800 1 Ton NAPCO, Rare 9 ft extra long bed. 47,000 original miles. Never been registered for the road since new. Has original seat cover. Still 6 volt system. Original...
My M52A2 was purchased with the intention of using it as a tractor. It only took 3 1/2 years to get it done. It only needs the ramps to be complete. Someone stole my ramps a couple months ago out of the bed. I'm sure they were sold for scrap.
I also need the bottom clamps for the diamond plate...
Pulled the XM816 out today to remove the dump bed off the back of my M52A2 and turn it back into a tractor. Everything went as planned, no surprises.
It was a good day!
I need to decide which turbo to put back on my LDS. I just had new valve guides installed and had the heads cleaned up for my M52A2. The engine had a "D" turbo on it but I also have a spare LDS with the older waste gate turbo on it.
I removed the waste gate turbo and had new bearings intalled...
Did anyone see this truck on GSA that sold today? 1987 Air Force Deuce, looks like factory paint, split brakes, 348 miles (could be original). The truck looks to be virtually unused and almost NOS (except for broken window knob and who knows what else). Probably one of the nicest Deuces I've...
Over the years, it always seemed like the Studebakers and others that were built as gassers and converted to A2's pulled in a premium on GL. It also seems like there are more of these showing up lately as well. Are these still going for a bit more? Some of these were in the inventory for almost...
I'm looking for the landing gear foot / pad for a 1951 M345. Probably going to be a tough find. Any sugestions on a suitable or halfway correct replacement?
Thanks
Had to move some of the trucks around today. We convoyed 6 of them to a new location this evening. Had a great time.
The M54A1C got a flat tire on the way. It happenned at about 45 mph. It was the front rear axle, driver side outer tire. Truck just started shaking and bouncing, big time. I was...
Redstone Deuces Arrive at Phoenix Proving Grounds
Two of the redstone deuces arrived recently. They were sent directly to the Phoenix Proving Grounds for evaluation. The last 4 photos show professional deuce test driver Gus Buzinski putting one through its paces. The trucks proved to be very...
What's the approximate value of a Mack powered M52A1 w/w. 10,000 miles, no rust, no leaks, straight body and complete. Very nice truck, runs and drives, good brakes.
Thanks in advance for any input.
Getting ready to pull the M54A1C into the shop and thought this would make for a good shot.
Our 1970 Kaiser XM813 w/w and our 1969 Kaiser, Mack ENDT Powered, M54A1C.
There are 4 sets of GL auction numbers on the M54A1C
Alot of interest in 5 Ton Tractors with beds lately. Here's my M52A2 w/w with a dump bed. It also has troop seats. It was built here in AZ by a previous owner. It has a single ram which is not connected to anything (no pump). The tractor equipment is still installed and intact.
I'm making the...
The M765A2 arrived today,. John at the Forestry Service threw in an extra tank with pump. And, it's full of diesel. The bed pockets took 45 minutes of pounding to get them up. It's missing a few parts but is in excellent overall condition. Engine is a 1D w/whistler.
It's missing the sheave...
My XM818 w/w is up in ND with Pilot (Greg). Thanks to Greg and a local diesel shop, it has been prepped for the drive to AZ. It has the multifuel fired personel heater. Greg let me know that it is not putting out the normal amount of heat. With it being about 0 degrees up there, I'm going to...
Which grille came 1st, the welded flat steel slat type or the tubular type. I'm assuming the welded slat type.
I just changed the XM813 to the slat type, I find that it supports the hood in the propper position whereas the tubular type bends over time and lets the hood drop which causes...
Just won an M756A2 on a GSA Auction. Looks to be complete except for front winch. After speaking with the fellow on-site, it is also missing its intank fuel pump. He did say it had all of its equipment, "big chains & snatch block". The PTO is there for the front winch. It was on GSA (Thanks...
