I've been looking for a trailer to haul tools and fuel with, and I don't really need something quite as big as a m105 and don't really have the room for a 105. A buddy of mine has a 101 that he doesn't need anymore, and I was wondering how a 101 pulls behind a deuce and if anyone does it...
It seems like every other time I drive my deuce I get at least one flat tire and its usually an inner dual and it's usually due to a nail. Is this normal with stock deuce tires or do I need to stick a giant nail grabbing magnet on the front bumper? (which thinking about that, it would be kinda...
I've had my deuce for a little over a year, and in that time I've given rides, talked to veterans about it, and even helped with a tornado recovery by hauling 2.5 tons of bottled water to the victims, but today something happened that really hit me and I really don't know how to take it.
My...
Hey all, I've searched, so lead me in the right direction if i missed!
The tarp on my truck is still in good condition, but its missing a few of the "buckles" (hooks?) that hold the sides of the tarp open when you roll it up, and I was wondering if there is anywhere to get just those?
Thanks!

I was reading a few posts on here about filtering WMO, using a centrifuge, etc. and I got to wondering, why not heat the used oil and distill it like they do in a refinery?
SO I googled and came up with this:
Converting Used Motor Oil to Diesel - Bob Is The Oil Guy
Sounds like it could work...
I've been following this guy on youtube for quite a while and I sure wish I had his job! He works at a jet engine test facility in Canada. Here's one of my favorite vids:
Hey all,
I've come to the conclusion that I need new head gaskets. The engine is losing power, the heads are leaking oil, and the anti-freeze has turned from green to oily brown. (havent checked for water in the oil yet, but it did make some oil last time I checked, so it wouldn't surprise me.)...
I got home today and noticed something shiny under the truck, so I found the transfer case was leaking. Like a good boy, I got on SS and found that a plugged vent most likely is the cause...so I went to take the vent off, and couldnt get it to turn, so I just decided to take the whole panel off...
Hey everyone,
I'm sure this has been covered on here, and I'm sure it's in a TM, but I've searched for the last hour and can't find anything.
What is the bracket for that is behind the exhaust stack on the deuce?
I'm assuming it has to do with a fording kit, but I really have no idea.
I had a dream last night...in my dream I was driving and repairing a m998. I noticed on ebay that there are plenty of parts out there, and seeing as I don't have the money to buy a complete one, has anyone ever built one from parts?? I know it would end up costing more probably, but I think it...
Let me know what you all think! I was bored this morning, so I gathered up a bunch of pictures off of google and played around with them in photoshop... None of these pictures are mine, but there were no copyrights on the ones I used.
Recently due to work, I have only been able to take short trips to work and back in my truck, about 6 miles total. Lately I've noticed that the truck was starting to run rough and idle weird, and I even posted a couple threads about it, so today I took a 40 mile round trip thinking it might need...
Hey all,
I had a leaky manifold heater a few days ago, and repaired it yesterday with new o-rings, only to find the fittings on the lines from the pump to the heater were leaking too, so I sealed them up too, but didn't get a chance to test drive it yesterday, so I decided to drive it to work...
Hey all! Happy New Year!
I started off my new year with a leaking manifold heater and replaced the o rings in it only to find that almost every fitting on the manifold heater system, from the IP to the electric pump, was leaking as well. I put Teflon tape on them as a temporary fix but I know...
Hey all, I figured I would share my tribute to the local military members that are currently serving in Afghanistan. After conversing with the director of the town chamber of commerce, and a couple of the family members of the troops, I came up with this idea. So far, everyone that has seen it...
I know, I could do a search and find everything I need, but I'm short on time, and I wanted to give you all something else to reply to today!
I'm in the market for a m105 to pull behind the deuce. I want to use it to store all my tools, fuel tanks, etc. in and get them out of the garage. What...
It was a dream come true! A few weeks ago I got a flyer that EAA's B-17 was going to be in Norman, OK, which is only a few hours away, and my brother lives down there. The price was kinda high, but my mom had been asking what I wanted for Christmas, so the lightbulb popped up brightly over my...
I don't know the unit number or anything else besides the truck came from the South Dakota National Guard. The only thing I can decipher is SDARNG on the top left bumper and H blah blah blah on the top right...anyone have any ideas? I've posted in CARNAC's vin thread to see if that helps...
I'm wanting to clean up the front of my truck and get rid of all the numbering they scribbled on there for the auction. I've tried soap/water, windex(had it close at hand), and WD-40. Had the best results with the WD-40, but it still didnt work real great. Anyone have any better suggestions...
