After inspection today I found both the Pitman and Idler Arm need replacement. My trucks a 1988 M998 ...seems there multiple part numbers for both parts. This is the two #'s I came up with - Good #'s ? Steering Gear Arm 2530012528362 Steering Idler Arm 2530012491577

This Protective Control Box Prestolite came out of my 1988 M998. The wait light didnt work and the alternator was in the red. I replaced the box with a used yellow tag unit to match the sensor on the engine....Bingo the wait light works and my alt gauge is back in the green - the engine starts...

Trying to figure out what the problem is with the 92 series detroit diesel in my Mk48. The Engine starts on the first flip of the switch. It seems to idle with a slight miss - in neutral the engine will rev up and seems normal. When shifted into gear especially forward and throttle is applied...
