Alright guys... I've been thru the Buyers sticky on the 831A.... and it was heavy on great info, part numbers, and availability of said parts.
BUT:.... What is your opinion on the unit?
I'm looking for a unit to pair with a transfer switch to backfeed my house during outages.
We live in the...
Alright guys,
I have a few major creased dings that I've picked and stud-gunned out but due to the inner door panel I cannot get a dolly to finish doing the hammering out....
As a consequence I'll have a skim coat of filler potentially.
How will the Behr paint adhere to Bondo (filler)...
Hey guys,
My M101A2 came with an A3 front landing gear...
It did NOT come with the crank handle though....
Due to my field of work (mech engineering), I have access to a full fab shop (CNC Verts, Horiz, CNC mills and SM breaks)
I really don't want to pay $50+ for a surplus crank handle when...
I opted for the pull pin vs. the spring loaded release lever...mostly because the leg doesnt hang down at a 30* angle...
Turned out nice!
Also swapped the leaking surge brake shock on the lunette for a new one...
TM gives a nice exploded view of the surge assembly etc.... but everyone looks like they are removing the entire assembly off the trailer A-frame....
Anyone try to do this on-trailer? Can you get away with just removing the landing gear and getting at it?
For search reference only: Surge...
I notice guys are throwing the Behr paint which appears to be over "everything" body frame etc.
Looking to spray my frame soon... POR15 isn't worth it to me, nor is it really my cup of tee.
Anyone spray a semi-gloss Behr Black and use it for a chassis paint? (or flat for that matter)...
Guys,
In the dissasembly stage of my rig and prepping for a Cummins 5.9L and Ford F350 Dana 60KP/Sterling 10.25 axle swap on my 67' Kaiser M-715. The jeep has yellow DNR paint over the original Olive drab. The DNR paint has survived 30+ years. And I'll never be able to remove all of it...
Hey guys,
Well... long story short... I did a 66 Chevy C10 with a 5.3L "LS" swap... it however did not fix my olive drab itch. I'm looking for a happy alternative... smaller then a deuce and still a ragtop.:)
I'd like to simply just have any current m715 owners near the Green Bay area give...
Guys... thinking about looking at an 1986 08'....
Found this interesting.... see the fluid discolor (leak) on the rear floor where the cab meets the bed.
Rear window or door seal you think? Should i be concerned ? Almost as if the seat is leaking.

And the money shot... any surprises...
Searched searched searched..... I've seen 2 or 3 of you running them but..... pictures? Size ? (Walmart shows only the stock m1008 size of 235/85/16)
Curious as wally world lists a load 'index' vs load rating...
is a 120 equiv as an 'E' or can it take the load... but at a lower pressure...
Well..... its all set in stone....
This upcoming Saturday morning.... another deuce might join the fray.
Been in contact with the private owner for a few weeks and now I'm making the drive.... with cash (cert check) in hand.
Pictorial results to follow BUT:
The e-brake is worn (or...
If anyone lives near Packer country and wouldn't mind letting take a peak and explore their Deuce....(A2)... I'd love to look one over with an educated individual before I start driving off on my own looking at potential Deuce candidates to purchase. I would first like to get an ACTUAL size and...
Alright guys....
I've been bit by the bug hard..... I think I want one... and I think I've found one...
Found a 68 Kaiser C Turbo (air T-case..not the sprag) Soft Top W/W
CARC Forest Camo Paint
34,000 miles no cargo/no bows
9x20 NDT's (All 10)
(Weak parking brake... might just need...
