    M38 finds a new home

Picked this up last weekend down in VA. Left the house at 3:15 am and was home a little after 11 pm. Around 950 miles! Purchased from a friend of mine. Jeep runs and sounds excellent. Needs front floor and gas tank work but nothing major. This jeep is complete and hasn't been butchered...

    M211 to new home

Hey guys. Thought I would share this quick story. A friend of mine picked up an M211 this past weekend. The truck has been sitting for around 10 years. The gas tank had been removed by the previous owner and needs some TLC. My friend bought a gas tank for an outboard motorboat and an...

M211 & M215 at Salvage Yard in VA

Hey guys. A friend of mine told me today about a M211 and M215 that are for sale at a salvage yard in VA. Asking price is $3,000 each. Both trucks have clear VA titles. Here is a link to the salvage yard: https://atlanticironva.com/ The owner DOES NOT WANT TO PART THESE TRUCKS OUT! MUST...

    First MB

New to me MB. Frame number puts it at a late '45. Engine number falls within the range of the frame so could be original to jeep. Body is shot. Engine turns over, going to see if it'll run. From the little bit of searching I did, the top appears to be for an M38. This is my first WWII...

    Underbody repair kit question

There is a post on the 503 asking about a gap on the mid crossmember outer end repair part. I have an end piece that I'm reverse engineering in order to reproduce as part of our 151 body panels. I also have a NOS mid crossmember. I did a test fit to the crossmember, my A1 and A2 and they...

    Civy rear shocks for A2

I just replaced the rear shocks on my A2 with Monroe part #66627. Around $35 each on Rock Auto. I went this route as I didn't want to buy a 30 plus year old NOS shocks. The last NOS lasted about a year. Note: The compressed length is the same but the extended length of the Monroe is...

    Fall Ride

We did around 150 miles today. It was 28 degrees when we left the house and warmed up to mid 60's. We missed the peak for the leaves but had a nice ride with no issues.

    Blue Ridge Parkway Tour

Thought I'd share some pictures. My friend and I took our A2's for a little ride down the parkway. We parked our tow vehicles in Rochelle, VA and proceeded about 40 miles to the start of the parkway. Went the entire length to Cherokee, NC, drove over to Gatlinburg, TN and then back up the...

    Size does matter

I'm doing some PM work on my M151 A2 and have removed the power pack. After placing it in front of the Humvee I thought I'd share a picture. Looks tiny! For those that don't know, the Humvee replaced the 151 series 1/4 ton trucks. It must of been an extreme adjustment to the guys that went...

    Loose Air Filter Bracket

Good morning. I did a search on this topic and did not find anything. So, assuming I did the search correctly and it hasn't been mentioned, I thought I'd share. I checked / changed the air filter last night. Air filter looked pretty good (I changed it anyway) but I noticed that the bracket...

    Sunday Ride

Thought I'd share a few pictures of our ride last Sunday. I let my brother and his wife drive the Humvee and we drove the 151. On Saturday I changed engine, trans, transfer case, diffs and geared hub oils. Also greased all fittings, looked things over, etc. Was a challenge getting truck on...

    1987 AM General

Hello people. I'm looking for some opinions on this truck and the current market value. Let me make a statement first: I know very little about these trucks. So far my MV life is a M151A1, M151A2 and a recently purchased M221. A friend has this truck and I find myself interested. As...

    1954 M221 - new purchase

Thought I'd share a few pictures of the M221 I just bought. Original owner purchased in the late 70's and used on a tree farm. Looks like it was kept in a barn and body is very solid. Water tanks are being removed by former owner before taking possession. Title work was done today. Guy
