The TM cracks me up sometimes. I need to change my hood hinges, so I looked up how to remove the hood.
Prerequisites: Disconnect battery cable.
Then it says something like, "Working behind the instrument panel, soldier A holds locknuts. Tell soldier B when ready".
I don't know if you guys...
After I put new seals in the hydraulic head, I notice my idle is about 900 when it used to be 800. I'll find the adjustment for that in the tm.
Also, when I left off the accelerator to shift, the rpms drop like they should, then momentarily surge, then drop to normal again. As if I were...
I thought it would be handy to have a list of local parts sources in the Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson area.
I prefer to keep my money in the local economy if I can.
There are quite a few of us around here, if we all share our honey holes this could turn into a valuable reference.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but maybe it will help somebody.
If you are a new member like me, probably (hopefully) the first thing you did was to visit the TM section and download all of the TMs that apply to your gear. There's a mountain of information there. Literally...
When the transmission is in a forward gear, which way does the jackshaft turn?
Trying to figure out which way to turn it so that I'm turning the engine the direction it goes in when it's running.
For the last couple weeks, I've been trying to track down a fuel leak.
I'm starting this thread so that maybe down the road, someone can benefit from my experience the way I've done from reading other's posts here.
Initially, I thought what I had was an oil leak. The drips were black...
As I was doing my walkaround this morning, I heard a whistling sound coming from the area of the fuel tank.
So I started wiggling lines around at the top of the tank, and discovered one was disconnected.
This one:
I grabbed a wrench and threded it back in and tightened it, but I don't think...
I happened to win auctions from both of these companies to be picked up at Camp Lejeune.
Randy and Felix both went the extra mile to coordinate both pickups on the same day, so that I would not have to make two trips.
It's probably a 7 hour trip for me in the deuce (one way). Can't express...
On the door just above the access panel, there are two screws (kind of on a diagonal.)
Do they attach to the window regulator? I can't see any screws in that location in the parts tm.
I pulled them out by mistake when I was removing my door latch, and now I can't get 'em back in.
The...
I was thinking of trying for an m105 trailer to go with the deuce.
I see that there are several manufacturers of these trailers. Pribbs, Eastern Technologies, and Turtle Mountain are the three I've come across so far. Are any of these more desirable than the others?
Thanks guys
Mrs. Boolitcaster and this goat were helping Ferroequinologist with some last minute fixes.
New and improved. Now with 100% more brakes! (Thanks Ferroequinologist!)

Hello everyone,
New to the forum, don't currently have a mv, but hoping to find useful information here to educate myself.
Kinda planning on buying myself a deuce and a half, but I'm not dead set on it. I might learn something here that will steer me towards another model.
Already learned...
