Is the cable to the transmission supposed to move like this or is it supposed to be adjusted and tightened down?
Also is there any sources to get new modulator and throttle springs. Mine are a bit worn out.
If I take the u-bolts off of my spring pack can I take this top part off to access the bolts behind it? Seems like it would give me a lot better access to knock the hell out of them to free them up.
Much to the dismay of my wife I have a new project headed my way. I picked up an M52a2 that isn’t running that will be here this week. Hopefully it doesn’t cause a divorce..
Hopefully there are a few of you ready to give some good pointers and some mental support along the way.
Against my wife’s will I’m thinking about getting another 5 ton and am looking into shipping charges from just east of Phoenix AZ to Las Cruces NM. It’s an 809 series 5 ton and runs.
I am wanting to install a battery kill switch that kills all power to my M923 to prevent low batteries or accidental fire from rodent damage. I plan on putting the switch on the negative side of the battery cable.
I also want to install a backup camera and rear spot lights. I am planning on...
One of my windshield wipers is leaking and I was wondering if anyone knows if these can be rebuilt? I can’t seem to find this exact windshield wiper motor anywhere. It’s different from the 939 wiper and also isn’t exactly the same as a deuce wiper either.
My heater motor wasn’t working so I ordered a new one. After getting it all hooked up with the ground wire connected to a bolt on the heater box I started the truck to test it. It came on—smoke came out of the new motor followed by a large spark and now nothing. My first instinct says...
After several months of working on my truck and patiently waiting for the DMV appointment so I could register my truck so it is road legal I finally took her out on the interstate. I had a nasty bouncing in the front which I figured was from having a run flat on one side and a beadlock on the...
Does anyone know what these rims are off of and if they will fit on the front of my M923? I’m getting the tires and rims for a good price and will take them if they will fit.
I have a friend stuck in Pecos Texas with a hard brake pedal and the rear brakes smoking. Any ideas how to do a roadside repair to get him rolling again.
I have no warning lights for low air, parking brake or transfer case. My spring brake light and bright indicator work fine but my low air buzzer is also very faint.
I filed down the grounds but still nothing and the main problem I am having is the numbers on the wiring are corroded and...
I just bought a 1984 M923 that runs and drives great but I have an substantial air leak when the brakes are pressed. The air is escaping into the intake. I have read the TMs and hope to start pressure testing it in order this weekend. My question is what kind of pressure gauge would work...
I am looking for a quote to move a deuce from Cloudcroft NM to Las Cruces NM. It isn’t currently running and moving it is not real urgent. I’ll probably need it moved sometime before February.
My truck is leaking something that has the consistency of brake fluid out of the blow by tube. Any ideas on what this might be. Before inspecting I thought I had blown a break line.
My truck has a type G Injection Pump and will not start without ether and will not stay running after that. The button had fallen off the old HH so I put that back on and tried to start it. It sputters and won’t stay running and there are major fuel leaks on top of the HH.
I put a different...
I have read all of the threads on removing the HH but can’t for the life of me get it to come out. The red mark is positioned right under the arrow but it won’t lift out. Does anyone have any tricks or advice?
Also of great importance. Where can I get a new pin that goes on the fuel shut...
