New to the family.....M715! New pics and updates! Now finally finished!

Last week I picked up a 1968 M715 that I've been in contact with the owner for quite some time. Finally decided to pull the trigger and I'm glad I did ! Great shape, runs sweet, and literally rust-free! Needs some love and lots of little things, and I'm finding parts are quite hard to find. BUT...

Question about MRAP wheels to super single....

Ok, I'm fixing to super single my deuce, and I'm most likely going to use the Mrap wheels with adapter plates. Now, with those wheels, I see there are 2 styles, the aluminum and the steel. Seems the aluminum wheels are lighter and quite a bit cheaper BUT they have the CTIS valve on them. Is that...

    Jeep M38A1 radio

So I recently purchased a 1953 Jeep M38A1 that I'm in the process of working on. Vehicle is all there, NO rust, just fixing the usual issues it had from sitting ( no brakes, gummed carburetor, garbage batteries). It has a rather large radio mast in the left rear corner, and the guy I bought it...

    Unit Insignia Markings Question....

So it turns out the Deuce I purchased few months ago doesn't have "real" unit markings on the front bumper ( horrors). How would I go about marking it with " real" unit insignia.......is there somewhere I can look up what might be real? The publications I've seen only indicate "how" to do it but...

    Smaller steering wheel........

Smaller steering wheel........UPDATE!!!! I'm considering going to the smaller 18" size steering wheel in my Deuce for space considerations. It doesn't have power steering, I know it will be a bit harder to turn but I still have some "juice" left in me  I'd like to hear from you folks that...

Well, after a REALLY long drive home, my Deuce is finally here! BIG thanks to a SS member from Michigan, Richard Neely and his wife Rita. Great people, wish we lived closer to enjoy more things with. If anything this truck was BETTER than he said, possibly the CLEANEST deuce I've seen to date...

    Question about wheels types....

Ok, first let me say I HAVE searched but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. My question is : is there SOMEWHERE an article or list that explains the different wheel types? In other words, I'm reading how a HEMTT wheel might fit on a deuce but with some kind of adapter, but some other type...

Question about Deuce registration in NY.....

Hello all, and thanks in advance for the help. Going to be purchasing and bringing home my new to me Deuce in about a week. I'm considering registering it as "Historical" instead of "passenger" in NY ( won't need commercial plates) but I'm wondering if that's the best choice. Seems like under...
