$289 for full 8.3 kit. Can ship this week. You can safely shut your truck down in any switch order after the swap.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I actually advise to go with a traditional brush type clone. They are affordable and work great. If you have an a2 (8.3), I sell a complete proper kit with both brackets, alt, pulley, and all fasteners for $40 above the total cost of parts. PM me, or you can research some threads here and go...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yeah, that’s a lunched alternator. For daytime use, the truck will crank and run for a long time on 4 batteries with an inop charging system.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Easiest way is to use a tow strap on the wrench and a vehicle to pull the tow strap with. One person to hold the wrench on squarely and strap onto end of wrench, then one person pulling slowly on strap with another vehicle. Go slow, once broke free it will turn easily. I used a forklift in my...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

That weld looks dam good for what we're doing with it. 2nd place in the beauty contest is still a hottie. Nice job. Ajax you can borrow mine for a refundable deposit, but you can't hang onto it forever. Let me know once you are ready and have all your parts including the time to do so, and...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

*SHIELD UP* Yes. I have a 2005 EFI 4 valve Cummins 400hp RV ISL engine hooked to a Roadranger 13 speed with dual disc clutch and hydraulic clutch release from a Freightliner Cascadia, sitting on the shop floor at my work, not (yet) installed. From the little I have seen and know, 2 others have...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Canned? Just kidding. Well, hopefully not. I’ve always liked the dually look. Wish there was a way to do it with 14.00 or 16.00 tires.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Changed the front timing cover gasket and crank seal on my 8.3L. Gravy job, went quick . Took my 9 to Woodward Dream Cruise last weekend. The largest single day car event in the world. Now at band camp with my daughter, and you know why...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Where? Ha ha. Looks good bro. What did you use? I’m liking the glossier finish, that stays. Mine was the Rapco, but dulled / flakes pretty quick after. I think the Behr that a lot off folks use retains the gloss better? I need to research posts and respray. Too bad you are like 9...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Good diag procedure. You can pump air into the truck with a gas powered air compressor if you really need to move it by driving to save it from swimming, then fix it later. 925’s are not cheap anymore.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

They won't "tear" as per se. As the rubber ages and dries out, it shrinks. As it shrinks, its diameter gets smaller, and it pulls away from the ID of the bushing shell itself. So, in essence, the entire rubber isolator ring becomes detached from the metal bushing shell, which is pressed into...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

High school freshmen telling my middle school daughter that she looks good in her volleyball shorts. Looks like I'll be picking her up from school more often in the 925.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Who's rooftop solar panels? I put a 6kW array on my house this spring. Have not paid an electric bill since installation in August, including running A/C. They're awesome. Silent, maintenance and fuel free generators!

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Stalled on the 400hp ISL transplant because a like-new ISX-15L Signature 600hp fell into my lap. Just undecided on trans and transfer case if I go ISX, don't want a 1:1 T case and have the truck go slower top speed than stock, with a bigger engine. The 13 speed Roadranger trans I have is rated...
