Those were my two motivations for this modification. This is the stock filter assembly off of an m35a3 truck a little trimming and a new side skirt and it will fit. As far as Plumbing, bottom line is it needs to go from 5" to 3" at a 45 degree in about 12"
These are Pelican 120 Kayaks my elcheapo ones I take out when the cricks are low, drug bottom a few times that day. we decided to turn around after rounding a bend and seeing some ominous clouds, shortly after we got the stowed on the truck it started with rain/ and lightning. I did not know...
Took the bobber out to haul kayaks, got cut short by a thunderstorm so we loaded up to go get burgers and ice cream at a local ice cream place and enjoy the storm under their patio.
I had to do that with mine, just put in on 3 days ago and am liking the peace of mind it offers. I took vice grips to pinch off the hose so it wouldn't leak out all the fluid, teflon taped the threads and spun it back on. So far it has been dry.
