FYI - I used the same mats for mine. I cut them with a jig saw and drop of oil on the blade every once in a while. Other than the dust, it was fast and easy. I also used a round-over bit on my router to clean up the edges - worked really well too.

Made a template. Transferred it to a horse stall mat. Cut it out w/ a jigsaw. Beveled the edges w/ a router round-over bit. Installed. Fit like a glove. Co-pilot approved.
Based on my experience with David at HPG, he'll make it right ASAP. He's been nothing but top notch and I seriously doubt they purposely tried to pass off used as new (assuming they are in fact used).
I was having trouble with the fuel line threaded fitting lining up as well when I did mine. There's a couple of clamps holding the line in place on the front of the motor. I loosened those and it gave me enough play to get the fitting lined up fairly easily without having to bend or force the...
