The tapered trip pins should be 5/32" OD (like AR15 hammer and trigger pin OD), I found 5/32" OD zytel nylon round stock on ebay to replace the pins with a more durable plastic chemistry.
The blue tagged sensor is the only mil-spec sensor, even AMG got stung, wound up with hundreds of Chinesium versions that were claimed to meet spec. There is a discussion about it back in Jan/Feb.
There was an alteration done to some of the SOCOM GMV M1025A2 trucks, the horizontal B Pillar was trimmed then a milled or stamped aluminum piece was welded in place, in order to give the Operator more leg room when using the SOCOM-unique IED resistant seats:
That is rubber grommet/retainer bracket for the radio power cable pass-through into the transmission hump then into your battery box. There are just the 3 holes (2 small bolt holes, 1 large for the grommet body), you need to reach under the transmission hump with a wrench to hold the nut and...
Milbot on ebay has over 10 NOS DWF Exhaust Pipes for $400 each, including shipping, cheapest I've ever seen them, and you may be able to offer 15-20% off the asking price...
We have a growing presence in FL Panhandle, about 5 owners just in Navarre, a potential former Marine in Pensacola wanting my 1994 M1097A1 then you boys in Alabama. Trying to get my OIF1 5SFG GMV roadworthy and safe for one of the meets at the USS Alabama in Mobile.
I've seen HMMWV in Rifle Companies using a piece of plywood between the Windshield and B Pillar above the Driver and Truck Commander's seats with the M113 APC dome lights screwed or bolted to, along with map pockets, pen slots, etc. We were allowed to make NON-PERMANENT alterations to the...
I've bought 4 sets of the HMMWV Mud Flap Kits from Milbot on ebay for $60 shipped using Make An Offer, some of the poly closeout panels were cracked from the mfg's piss-poor packaging method, though...
1994 M1097A1 Green Beast is now running. She would just crank and crank after I installed the missing check valve and fuel line into the fuel filter cannister, was preparing to start loosening injectors but found an older thread by Tobash that the fuel injection system needs quite a bit to...
Bought 1994 M1097A1 (6.2l, TH400, NP242?) in October, EUC approved this month, picked up from Albany GA on 11 March. Had some rough parts but was recently pulled from preserved storage. She is starting to look respectable again. Just the curbside frame extension was damaged, look like they...
The good news is, A0-A1 body and engine harnesses are still fairly cheap, and easier to totally replace than a civilian automobile., if you want to just get rid of your electrical system gremlins the fast way.
This is one of the tail light covers off my M1025A2, which has one all incandescent bulb assy and one hybrid incandescent brake/turn and LED BO Marker/Brake. Now one of these I repaired before had a metal rectangular frame that held the BO marker lens assembly in place, this one has a clear...
I wish one of the parts houses having plastic taillight bucket assemblies made in the Peoples' Republic, would make a set with clear reverse lights in place of the blackout markers.
Short of that, using two of the Ambulance style reverse light brackets, you can bolt them through the A2...
Got my two GMVs just before I left on Christmas break. So far, all 4 batteries were toast, got in one pair of Hawkers after New Years, power washed that truck a couple times, removed the tin roof for cleaning and turret kit installation. Its starting to look like a GMV again. Tin roof is...
