What did you do to your deuce this week?

Painting parts like that really makes you feel like you're making your rig better. My specialty was getting 50% of the paint or anti-seize on me. Be thankful Deuces use Dot 5. That damn Dot 3 has screwed up the paint on my 1952 Dodge more than once!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

SCSG I'm sure glad you didn't have a widow maker. I know I'm not THAT old, but I think I have arthritis in my ankles, which makes it harder to crawl under things. Most of the stuff I did was sitting on a concrete floor (or driveway) under my Deuce. I never used creepers, because I was always...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I installed all three spin-on fuel filters. The primary filter below the alternator even came with a water/sediment drain valve. It's a good thing to do for your MV.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hi Ahab! Yeah, I rebuilt my parking brake too. The hardest part was attaching the cable to the hand brake lever end and getting it bolted down again. I finally ran the bolts up from the bottom and duct taped the bolt heads to the underside of the floor. That enabled me to get locks and nuts on...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Great to hear from you Tim!!! It's been a while. Well, for me it was cost, rust and time. I worried so much about Brutus that it took some of the enjoyment out of owning him. I recently had my Jeep JK refitted with geared limited slip and deeper 3.73 gears in both axles. With the lower gears...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

How many beers did it require?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Great to hear from you Jbulach! That is a fine looking Rubi you're wife has there! You know my email now, so please don't hesitate to email me. I'd love to have a discussion on Deuces and JKs with you any time. I want to show respect for my fellow soldiers and not post too much Jeep stuff here...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hello my friends! It's Dipstick. I hope some of you remember me. I sold Brutus several months ago. As I am rapidly approaching 71 years of age, I felt I was no longer able to maintain Brutus the right way. That along with rust and my constantly dwindling financial status also took they're...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hell, maybe in a million more years deer will figure out, that running in front of moving vehicles is not a good idea.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yeah David, but they're only door handles. I'd buy em'. Mine have worked for 11 years. Having said that, with the exception of all of the kids in my neighborhood with Subaru WRXs, only about 18% of Americans can drive manual transmissions anymore according to an article I recently read. Most...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I hope they're using the same metallurgical techniques in their fighter jets and naval ships. "thosemilitaryguys.com" sells a pair of pre-painted locking handles for the Deuce for $65. They come in several common Deuce colors.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Buying a 5 ton to put under it may be cheaper than returning it. Just kidding.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yeah, I'm a skill saw and hammer guy myself. I mostly use wood for blocking things up when I'm doing repairs.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Your excellent work makes me feel like a barely competent fool! I am a terrible welder.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The spin-ons and Jatonka himself are both great. I hope your back recovery goes well and as quickly as possible.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

David....did you fabricate the plow mount and lift yourself? If so, you did a damn fine job! Looks great!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Sure Tim! My son Dan was in diapers when I started working on Major. He had never seen him with his body on and drivable and he's 31 years old now. So, it was a HUGE thrill for me when I let Dan drive him this fall. A fantastic father and son moment. Smiles all around. By the way, my son Dan is...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thank you cattlerepairman! I built the body using 16-gauge galvanized sheet metal. The wood is 1/2 thick sanded maple veneer plywood with Minwax chestnut stain and spar varnish. I couldn't afford quality boards. Major is going to be used for sunny day rides. He may visit Home Depot in a pinch...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hi Tim and Cattlerepairman! Two of my favorite folks! I hope you don't mind That I included two pictures of Major Motion. After all of my work on him this Spring and Summer, I've had a hard time getting him inspected. It turns out that I need an "enhanced inspection" for custom built cars and...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I haven't done much with Brutus for the last half year, because I've been working day and night on my 1952 Dodge pickup. Today I started Brutus up and ran him for a while. He started right up. The next thing I have to do is get him inspected so I can drive him around. The front fenders have many...
