Greetings everyone. Just finished getting the front aux hydraulics installed. I used a splitter on the bucket tilt line to provide controllable hydraulic fluid to whatever implement is attached to the front quick disconnect. There is a second set of connectors mounted as well. These will be used...

The air system on my FLU uses the trailer brake air tank pressure to run all the air powered accessories, like transmission splitter, 4WD, etc. If you remove that system, you would have to connect the accessory line to the main air tank. I know this is different than the student handout diagram...

I will try that when I get back over there. Thanks a million for the advice.

This was the last valve I rebuilt in the system before having all the problems. When I first installed it, I didn't have the pressure adjustment set correctly and had a little more air pressure than normal entered the secondary system. I quickly reduced the pressure to this system, but have had...

I have replaced all tank drains, along with blowing them out with compressed air. Next week I will be back at the farm and will try to go over everything again; hopefully with some better luck than before. I am thinking about filling the alcohol injector with some type of light lubricant and...

It also happens without using the high idle circuit as well. I can hear air leaking in spurts from under the center area between the seats, as long as the doors and windows are closed. I have tried listening outside, but the exhaust is too loud and I can't get my head under the cab. I have gone...

I have been very busy with the farm and haven't had much of a chance to work on the FLU for a while, but that is about to change. I have an appointment with a hydraulic shop in two weeks to have a few things done. The bucket cylinder on the backhoe is leaking badly, so that will be rebuilt. They...

I just had to put a jumper around my clutch safety switch. It quit working and I was tired of pulling the doghouse off and jumping the starter every time I wanted to start it. It was also time today to replace the unloader valve with a new one. I sure didn't think that there could be so much...

You are definitely correct about the lights being expensive at retail price, but I have always been able to get them much cheaper. I always have the $20 off $100 coupon, usually get the extra giftcard, and so far have bought everyone on a very reduced clearance price. Taking your time and...

I replaced the two work lights in the back with LEDs, and they are at least 100 times brighter. I have replaced one of the front aux headlights with a LED unit, and it is literally night and day difference. Just waiting for the other LED to arrive so I can install it as well. Northern Tool has...

I have about 3 hours working a backhoe (in the SEE only), and would sure like to use a two lever setup. This would be way down on my priority list, as it functions just fine for now. My next project is to fix the front hydraulic valve assembly; several different small issues that will require...

I talked to the local hydraulic shop about this very same thing, and he came up with a few ways to do this, and some reasons it might not work. 1. Add two additional sections to existing hydraulic control valve. This would require finding two like valves and then inserting them into valve...

I have been thinking about how to run a double set of aux hydraulics to the front loader arms to use like a conventional skid steer tractor. This is my thought: have a hydraulic splitter manifold plumbed into the aux hydraulic circuit that is already on the SEE. Here is a link to a three way...

I just replaced a good amount of weather stripping around the engine cover. I bought some very dense material used for metal buildings and then cut to size and attached with 3M yellow adhesive (also known as gorilla snot). This is working very well, as the old stuff was completely missing in a...

I am sure it is turned off at the switch, but have not checked to see if there is any residual pressure in the lines. I will check it tomorrow when there is some light outside. Daylight Savings sure brings the darkness early these days. Update: I tried to connect the two aux hydraulic lines...

This picture is some sort of check valve from the electric loader arm servo to the out side of the valve pack. I can't find it in any of the manuals, and can only guess that it is an overpressure relief valve. Any ideas? I also did some more dirt work today with both the front loader and...

The one cooling fan is working, and comes on after about 15 minutes of idling or quicker if the engine RPM is higher. Yesterday was the first day I actually used the tractor to move a large pile of dirt. The front hydraulics really got a workout with the fan running the whole time. I stopped...

I ended up cleaning the one I had. Thanks for the tip. There was some darker oil that was on the outside of the filter, but it all cleaned up nicely. The whole front hydraulic system still is generating heat, so not sure what could be causing this. Any ideas.
