Haha kind sir you need to test drive 2017 to 2024 Tacoma and tell me about your results on poor visibility 😂
Humvee has a belt line seating position, that’s what makes side visibility excellent,
hood is positioned lower than 99% of modern SUVs Opening front approach visibility equal to most...
I absolutely agree, 220 is very high for it to kick in.
The new sensor works excellent, opens up on point, stays on for maybe 20 seconds and off again. Yes this is the sensor that goes on the crossover,
length and size is correct as well 1/2 inch NPT.
They have all temperature ranges, 165 to...
Got 4 wheel alinement done, she drives lovely.
Also changed the temperature switch to 200 degrees to activate the hydraulic fan.
The switch is made in USA, can be used as open or closed switch ( on humvee is open )

I did some measurements and you are correct, with full doors it would touch the mirror even if I shortened the limiting strap a little bit.
So I made a different bracket that mounts the mirror passed the windshield A frame and it sticks out 2 inches less.
its attached to A Pilar,
Full doors can open as long as limiting strap is shortened just a tiny bit.

my next project is building removable upper-half for those doors
Finished fabrication of adapter bracket that can mount Silverado mirrors to humvee .
those mirrors are 75 dollars at Amazon, manual adjustable, I took out the back section where it was supposed to attach to Silverado door, it’s triangle shape.
