Thanks for the That MV magazine article was one of my research sources for this project. I used it to determine my coolant piping locations/coolant sources. I don't have a heater though

What did you do to your deuce this week?

yes please. I was copying several coolant filter installs I read on the forum, but if there is a correct way to do it, them I'm all ears. *** edit*** on edit, it looks like I should have made a loop between the coolant jacket & water pump then run a second loop (off that loop) for my filter)...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I finally got that pipe plug on my water pump broken loose and the last half of my coolant filter installed. The plug took a 5/8th 8pt socket attached to a 2ft breaker bar. I installed everything with copious amounts of anti-seize to avoid this issue in the future. After I mounted everything, I...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yesterday we had some severe storms blow through with 1.5in hail and 60mph winds (we are forecasted to have severe storms all week...ugh) The cargo cover on my truck took a beating and I think it's done. It had been on its last leg for a while and had a repair, on a repair, on a repair...that...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Nice truck! You don't see too many long boys running around these days. Today I changed my oil filters and started my coolant filter install. Unfortunately, one stubborn 3/4 npt pipe plug is ruining my weekend plans. the upper pipe plug came out without any issues but his big brother is...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

UPS was delayed. Originally, my filters were scheduled to be delivered yesterday. I had planned on changing the filters this morning and then taking it in for the oil change this afternoon. Since UPS had a delay, I went ahead and did the oil today and will do the filters when they arrive...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Today I went to a local diesel shop and had them drain/refill the oil in the truck. Tomorrow my new oil filters, coolant filters, and coolant filter mount should arrive (assuming UPS is on the ball). Unfortunately UPS delivers to my area between 6-8pm so I'll have to wait until next week to...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

This morning I was looking for cool M35 videos on youtube...because work is dead. I found this cool video of a 465LDT running with only one head installed. I have seen other videos of other engines doing this...but this is the first time seeing one of our engines. It's pretty wild to see the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I burned a holiday on my "friday" (weds) and spent the day enjoying a truck work day. I replaced all the fuel filters (I'm still recovering from an algae bloom in my fuel tank), flushed/bled the brake system, and gave it a quick rinse to clean off all the west texas dirt. Everything went...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yesterday I popped the new battery into the my truck so I could circulate the anti-alage I put in the fuel tank a few weeks back. During the install process I pinched a battery cable....ugh. I did a temporary repair so I could crank the truck (without starting a fire) & circulate the anti-algae...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I bought a new battery monday...$200 from my OReillys in Lubbock, TX. I thought about going with group 31s but in the end I really wanted to keep it as original as I can...so I saved some extra pennies and ordered a new 6tl. the counter guy was telling me about another local deuce owner who is...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Today I did a little troubleshooting with my trucks issues. I checked both batteries with a multimeter and they showed good voltage...while at rest with no load. As soon as I introduced and kind of load, the voltage tanked....so one or both batteries is dead. I pulled both batteries and ran to...
