Swapped out the ancient spare tire for a fresher one that matches the driver's side with new inner tube and flap. The old spare was terrible and out of round but it worked. The shock was toast on that side anyways, so I installed a Monroe for $30. I took a picture of the driver's shock part...
Brought my flat steer tire to W & W Tire in Finksburg, MD to replace my inner tube and flap for $52. Its been flat for 6 years and have been running a very dry-rotted and square spare. I supplied the flap and tube. Well worth it since I have never done one before nor have the time. They work...
Hey fellow Tim,
I forgot about another recent purchase, a Monroe shock 66903, since the passenger side it totally shot from my ancient spare with flat spots. This and the tire needs to be done next week so I can take a large load of trash to the dump from my recent basement job and torn down...
Replaced the belts. Generator belts were toasted. Not a job working on the deuce without a bloody knuckle... Very easy with the air compressor wrenches. Not sure how tight to make the belts. My laptop is down so cant see TMs

I need to replace some shreaded generator belts that were barking at me last trip picking up a frew firewood we just cut.
This summer:
Cut down a junky old half dead cherry tree, took 2 loads of brush to the dump.
Picked up 4 pallets north of Westminster, MD to enlarge my firewood stack for this winter season. Took some scenic photos.
Picked up a new headlight bulb for $12 at NAPA, #4800 and a pig tail (#LS6235) for $5 to splice into the Mil-spec connectors. The prices on egay for OEM bulbs are outrageous.
Borrowed the idea here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?16935-Headlight-adapters
The Brown truck delivered my supplies for the DIY Primary Fuel spin-on filter mod as well as a new Donaldson air filter and some Baldwin secondary/Final filters.
Let's see, in installed a new starter button, new instrument panel bulbs and cleaned lenses, installed license plates and brackets, installed keyed battery cut off switch, changed tranny fluid to sae 40 ND. Wow, now I can actually shift from 1st to second gear with out cussing... Like butter...
