Hey guys the sand I use mainly is a medium grit blasting sand. I think the number is BX60. It will strip it down to the bare metal pretty quickly. At least it has on all the stuff I have blasted. I don't know if that BX60 equates to play sand or not. I have not used play sand, but I would think...

Here are a couple of pics of what you want it to look like. These are off our big blaster here at work but that's what I modeled the tube on the bottom of mine after.

Ok Joe here goes, the hose is the standard one that came with the wand. I think it is 50' looks to be 1/2" outside diameter. The pipe at the bottom is a 3/8" pipe nipple that is 4 or 5" long. The size or length really isn't that important as long as your tube will go over the end and you leave...

Ok I have a few more pics of my setup for those of you who asked. The pic of the tube on the bottom is just a piece of pipe with a hole drilled in the top. The hole is between the plastic tubing and the elbow and acts like a siphon that you see on a large blasting cabinet. If you have any other...

Go back to page 4 of this post, number 33 I think and you can see some pics of the tank setup. I'll get some closeups of the pickup tube at the bottom of the tank and post them later today. Like BLKBRD said you do need at least a face shield. I forgot to mention that in my earlier post. I use a...

You don't really have to worry about breathing any dust when you use one of these. The water pretty much takes care of that. As for reusing the sand it just depends on where you are gonna do your blasting. If you are lucky eough to own or have access to a large concrete or asphalt pad you could...

You may not be able to tell from the pics but it is a small well tank that I used. Most any tank or drum would work. Just have to mount a fitting in the bottom for the sand to come out of. That one works well because of the sloped bottom, you don't have to worry about getting all the sand out...

Here are a couple of pics of the tank I whipped up to use with the blast wand. It's an old pump tank that I gutted. I used it mainly because I had an old one and it already had a sloped bottom with a fitting in it. It will hold over 300 lbs of sand so you don't run out.

Hey guys for what it's worth, I have one of the Northern Tool pressure washer blaster setups. I got it when I was redoing my Dad's old Ford Jubilee Tractor. The paint on that old girl was laughing at the little pressure pot I was trying to use on it!!! The pressure washer/blaster setup is some...
