So the question is, are we going to be getting some kind of notification asking for compliance from the DMV or are we expected to report how we have complied? Most of what I've read is worded in such a way as to address people who use their vehicles for business, not for personal use.
Blendmaster, I did a little digging and found a "low mileage" loophole. The cap is 1k miles per year but to be able to retain normal registration might be worth it.

Thank you for the clarification. Currently it's registered commercial since I like to drive it somewhat often. My impression was that once you title it as an historic vehicle you are limited on when you can drive it (such as to and from car shows or other events of that nature), I may have...
So, if I'm reading this right, as of 2015 my 1973 m35a2 will become illegal to operate unless outfitted with a modern engine or registered as historic? :confused:
