What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Interesting, that explains the difference in floor mats then. I guess that makes more sense than having to pour oil all over the cab trying to get it to go into the little hatch.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I'm pretty sure they should since that's where the dipstick/ fill tube is located. If you have a floor mat without a cutout to the right of cab center the cover is probably under there and the floor mat just isn't original.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Where'd you get the insulation from? The rear panel on mine fell off a couple weeks ago.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I used 18qts of this: https://www.napaonline.com/napa/en/p/NCA75200/NCA75200 . 1 quart to flush, 1/2 quart for the filter, 16 1/2 quarts for the transmission. Probably would have been cheaper to get the 5 gallon but I wanted to be able to easily maneuver the container in the cab without risk of...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I changed the engine oil and filter and converted the transmission from 15w40 to DexIII. Old engine filter was Fram CH211A new is Napa 1954. Old trans filter was Fram PH3519A new is Napa 1268. I reused the gasket on the engine since Napa was going to have a long wait on it. I did not change the...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Two weeks ago I installed my new drivers seat (that is a way more complicated process than it needed to be!), reattached some of the insulation to the back of the cab, new headlights, removed the old strap and replaced the bolts holding the jerry can bracket to the fender (again way harder than...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

The blue magnetic lights from Harbor Freight work pretty well to light the cab and bed. Sometimes they come loose on bumpy roads so I just keep them in a lidless 30 cal ammo can next to the driver seat and grab them when I need them...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I installed a new horn button and new turn signal flasher box. I also tried out low transfer for the first time and discovered that I have the upgrade with the reverse lockout. Then I tried the windshield washer and it still doesn't like me but atleast none of the air lines blew out this time.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I got a 20 ton bottle jack for my truck. It was $32 out the door with a free tarp at Harbor Freight. Now I'll be comfortable jacking up the truck to inspect brakes and axles.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

How are the lights attached around the hood? I want to do a giant sled/ Christmas tree in the front yard using my truck but I want to find a way to attach the lights so I can still drive it.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

That's an awesome picture! Even after I explain it sometimes I still get "5 ton deuce", "big deuce", "you mean a deuce right?", "wow that must be rare!":shrugs:

    Soviet SKS, predecessor to AK.

Those are massive 6" stencils. I think the markings on the trucks are 2 inch? Here's some two inch ones http://www.gemplers.com/product/45MSK/45-piece-2-Brass-Stencil-Kit . $44, which isn't a bad price if you use them a lot.

Looking good! What's the car in front of the truck?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Parked it in my front yard for Memorial Day and then drove through downtown to the airport for lunch. There's noticeably more waves and honks when driving with the flags on.

That's a nice looking truck you have there! It looks like it's real happy up on those logs.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I replaced the front shackle that disappeared somewhere on the road to the Socal Rally a couple weeks ago.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I finished grading a road with my M925. The skiploader blew a tire and I didn't have time to go get a new one, but the road was still a huge mess. Kilroy the 5 ton to the rescue! A couple passes back and forth over the gravel and it's almost as good as the tractor would have been.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I patched and installed my new cargo cover and cleaned off the black widow webs from the axles and tires.

Thanks Artisan! Looks like I'll be straitening out the rod. Here's some pictures from after Kilroy's bath. (By the way, the Wrangler is lifted and has larger tires.)
