What did you do to your deuce this week?

You were right on AjaxMD. Cleaned everything up and took a small trip. Found the hose on the water pump had fluid blowing past the clamps. Repositiioned the hose and tightened it down. Hopefully that will fix it.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

That's an interesting thought Ajax MD. A new radiator, hoses and multiple flushes of system ending with brand new coolant, I would think anything that leaked out would be pretty clean. I'll give the mess a smell test when i get home and see if that's a possibility.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Took the deuce to work today (about a 10 mile drive) and noticed some oil splatter on top front and down passenger side of engine. I cleaned the engine up real good while working on radiator, so I can tell it's a fresh. It's right where the flame heater pump is, but it's dark oil, not diesel...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Got the new radiator installed this weekend. New belts and hoses and some fresh paint on some engine components and front grill. Added a coolant filter to the system too. Glad to have it running again!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Son of a buck! Taking radiator out of my deuce. One bolt on the bottom stud came off easy, the other one I barely put pressure on to turn the nut and the bolt sheered right off. It was pretty rusty, so I've been shooting it with pb blaster for a couple weeks now. Anyone have this happen to...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Drained the steering box a couple days ago. Had the usual gear oil in it. Today I filled it with JD corn head grease. This weekend I might finally get to removing the radiator so I can completly flush the system. I have new belts and coolant hoses to put on her. Been wanting to do that for...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Restored a hard top for my Deuce. It had a lot of holes and warping, but it's all intact, windows too. Patched a ton of holes...maybe a re-skin would have been a better option. I had some Dynomat left over from a street rod project, so I covered the inside skin with that. I did the back and...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

My first parade duty today. 95 degrees and sunny...a real scortcher. It was a huge honor to give acitve duty and retired Marines a ride today. A great group of guys. My truck is right behind the honor guard.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Installed a 24v to 12v converter under the glove box and mounted some outlets under the dash. I put in a back up camera (front facing one too), so i need a 12v source to run the cameras. I added an on/off switch so it won't draw from the batteries when not in use.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

---All I could find is black too. Probably could paint, but not very high on my list. Here's a pic if you're on the fence and want to see how it looks.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Emeroclove....I purchased a steering wheel cover on amazon for mine. It was around $20 I believe, and fits great. Just make sure to order the right size. Just an easy work around...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Truth-be-told, the sand blaster kept clogging up while doing the tailgate, so I only used the power washer (water only) on the side. I have a fine narrow tip for the power washer that knocked everything off perfectly. With the Ospho, I didn't have to sand down the rust at all. Made the side a...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

The truck is all stock, however it's actually a 73. I added that tag before I took posession and realized it's a 73 when I registered it. I guess I forgot to update my info. It was made by AM General. I would think there wasn't much changed on these trucks thru the years.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finally got the time to do some painting to the outside of my truck. I purchased a sand blasting attachment for my power washer and used that to clean up one side of the bed. I'm just knocking off loose paint and rust. Perhaps someday I'll strip it down and give it a new look, but for now...

Hope you get better Rustystud. Praying you get rid of that once and for all. Private Wrench

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Needler worked great, but like Redpawn mentioned, debris goes everywhere. Especially cramped up in the lower bowels of the truck. At one point, I had to lay across the top of the rear differentials to get way up in there. learned pretty quick into the power washing that goggles weren't enough...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Just crawled under it with the wand. Pretty tricky getting it in some areas, so i scrubbed with a brush and hosed those spots.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Major cleaning under the deuce this weekend. Power washer, lots of degreaser and scrubbing. Once clean, spent then next day with a wire brush and needler on minor rust areas. I sprayed the cleaned up rust areas with Rust Converter, then rattled can sprayed most of the bottom with Rustoleum...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Spent Saturday installing a pyrometer gauge and a boost gauge. I followed a similar gauge bracket idea from an old post of a fellow SS member I saw awhile ago. Drill and tap was easy (did it with the engine running). I got the existing screw out of the top of the intake for the boost gauge...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finished my back up lights today. Rigged a switch and an indicator light so i should notice if I'm blinding anyone behind me. I need to start researching pyro gauges. I thought I saw someone with a gauge that had boost and temp in one. That would be a nice option.
