Heres the pics I got. Not the greates resolution, since the pics were such a huge file, I had to shrink them down. Anyhow, Im there on the left, and the Bobber on the right belongs to Titanium Soldier here on SS.
Yesterday, I got to show my truck off for the first time. It was just a small car show they put on at my work for the employees on the annual family day. This year was the 15th anniversary of the first flight of our jets so they let us bring our muscle cars, antiques, hot rods etc. and park them...
Well, yesterday I drove my truck to work. Bout, 45 miles each way. The soft top held up nicely, although the bows kept popping up out of their holes in the windshield frame and making noise etc. So this morning I came up with a fix. Sorry the pic is slightly fuzzy, but basically i made a small...
mad, actually I did not. The header over that door was notched by the previous owner of the house. He had an old John Deere tractor he liked to keep in the garage. It does come in handy though because I think the steering wheel squeezes in with about an inch or so between it and that notch...
Thanks 319. Im going to paint the front rims as well soon, but I didnt have the energy to bust the rims down this weekend. As for the paint, it does look good, but I must confess, its not 24087...I wish it was though lol. Its Behr premium from home depot matched of a part I had that was the...

Didnt get a whole lot done this weekend. Was a lazy one lol. I did get the frame and suspension pressure washed and degreased, and the bed reinstalled. I need more paint to finish, but as usual, the $$$ seem to be a little shy this go round.
I finally got my lazy rear in gear and put some primer to the bed. I also got a little more of the truck painted. Im going to do more this evening and probably some tomorrow as well. Wont be long now till its all green and I can put it back together again.
Few pics...
No...its a semi-gloss paint to match the 24087 style paint job. Its turning out really good I think. It looks better out in the sun instead of cooped up in its cave. It takes a good while for it to fully cure though.
Got more painting done. I didnt do a "pro" job on the frame rails, but I tried to get the bumperettes as smooth as possible so the bumper numbers will turn out good. Moving along...next weekend Ill do my best to get the bed painted up and re-attached to the truck, and then do another coat or two...
