I don't think I tried to attach a photo. Anyway, did buy one this morning, and it'll hopefully be here in a couple of weeks. It'll be interesting to see what kind of trouble I can get into with a vehicle that weighs nearly 40,000 lbs.

Okay, so I sold a FLU or two, and an M1031, but it looks like I'm getting an M936 to get the other stuff unstuck with.

Exactly! Although I've been doing fairly well, having sold four or five vehicles, a camper, and two trailers in about a year. Still have a ways to go, though. I'd like to spend more time driving and less time on maintenance at this point. And that's with a girlfriend who has four cars, two...

Thanks, rflegal. But I have since (stupidly) downgraded to a 3500 and a regular toyhauler, so I really should sell that setup. Or at least the trailer.

Why the pessimism?? When registering my 359 Peterbilt here I said it's a motorhome. It's a typical over the road tractor with a 63-inch sleeper that I use as an RV. No problems at all.

Seems like you can register just about anything here in NM.

    Somewhere along the border?

Someone with an electric car that had four miles worth of charge left?

You can't stop us now. Mid state, just shy of the CO border.

Sorry, the closest one I know of is General Hood, in Oklahoma. Anyway, here's my M1031.

Chris, that's basically an M1008, but with better mechanicals and an aluminum box on the back (not slant back, though), with a generator, compressor, and such inside. Unfortunately, the only HMMW related thing I have is a GEP built 6.5, still on a pallet.

Would a very nice M1031 with under 7,000 miles on it be close enough to a turret kit?

No sense in being jealous. Not when you can come visit, and get some parts you may want.

Alright, I KNEW I should've taken a photo of the snow. If it clears up any tomorrow, I will. Okay, double checked, it's a "Winter Weather Advisory". Whatever it's called, there's snow in them thar hills now. So there.

Every day we wake up without a tag on our toe can't be all bad, right? Here it's raining, and will keep raining, for about a week - and we're under a winter storm watch. It did snow last night, down to maybe 8,000 feet. I traveled in your direction last week, but only to eastern Oklahoma...

Hey, you're still around, Ahab! I've been wondering what happened to you. Welcome back, Brother!

Somewhat close to Chama, so unfortunately not exactly along your Denver route. I have all kinds of little stuff, including new springs, come to think of it, and up to a built 6.5 and a 4L80E and an Atlas transfer case to go with it. Oh, and built axles, currently under a 6.2 Suburban. It's...

Welcome, 505. If you find yourself some 150 miles to the north some day, let me know. I have a few M1009 parts I should sell. That's if the 3.08 gears will make it up to 7,500 feet (sorry, couldn't resist).

Well, now you can picture it, so to speak. All you need to add is a stout section of 3-inch square tubing, 1/4-inch wall, and attach it to your M931.

Not familiar with the butt of an M931, but it should be easy enough to build a gooseneck or 5th wheel mount for one if that's what you crave. Never did get around to it, but wanted to make a 2-1/2" vertical "receiver" for the Pete, positioned right behind the 5th wheel, and drop a B&W turn-over...
