    M1088 camper conversion

I've seen the new alternative on FB. It appears to be much improved over that first guy's design (that <insert_points_of_compass_flippers> later copied and sells). By far the best solution I've seen yet (beyond the A1R designed that completely removed the problem...hey, I've never had an...

Awesome job. It's on my "to do" list to make a little fuel tank in that spot. How many gallons do you figure you got there?

I've been eyeballing server rack batteries as well (only because they are the only lithiums of this scale I've ever had hands-on experience with). My current house batteries are lead acid and and sit in the truck battery box. (which sorta works but it couldn't be a a longer run to my...

Those little RV pressure regulators are like $20, so a simple and inexpensive add....

It's been done that way (well, with accordion boots not a compression collar). And while it's a very limited location and size (see last pic below), you can create a crawl-thru w/o deleting the spare or air cleaner.

Interesting.. I'd never given any thought to swapping the capture springs to the back.

    M1088 camper conversion

I spoke with these guys a few years ago. Their prices have gone up a little but not much. But price depends on the width of the boot as well as the tunnel circumference): https://www.accordionboot.com/ I was thinking of mounting the pass thru tunnel to the frame, then booting each end...

    M1088 camper conversion

Looks awesome !!! That's one of the reasons I decided to stick with the ridged A1R cab mount. I miss the "cool factor" of the air ride cab, but I really want to have a crawl thru if only for emergency and for the dog to access the cab for overwatch at night). Retrofitting to air ride was...

It's been my experience that high people don't pay a lot of attention while driving no matter what... ;p

    M1088 camper conversion

NICE ! Yeah, I dread that as well (mostly because I am not relocating the spare and only have so much room). I haven't decided if I want to pursue a more compact airfilter solution. My fear is that once I do the hole, I'll want to change something. Same problem I have with the side door...

You should see *my* welding ! LOL I can't say for sure, but I'm not certain that is a weld. Look closely at the base. Some kind of molding process is present at the bottom (and may explain the oddness at the upper seam). Maybe an external secondary layer of tank that encapsulates a...

    M1088 camper conversion

Interesting concept. I'd not thought of using both.
