Got the radiator back in and the defroster now works. The defroster hose connection above the steering column is a pain. Got new gladhands and shutoff valves installed, new fuel filter and 1 new fuel line. Found a dent in the oil pan (not leaking). Now time to hook up the 105 trailer and go...
Installed a block heater and attempted to tighten the air compressor belt. Now with the radiator removed I figured I would just replace it and the generator belts too. That is tomorrow's project.
What did I do. Well I drove it about 45min away. Then back into the woods. Loaded the deuce and the 105 trailer with firewood then made the drive back. I was surprised at how well it climbed a hill. When I backed down the hill to one of the trees I was thinking I would have to winch it back...
The back is fine. At the top rear of the door windows it is about an inch to long. It fits all the little twist snap things but between the last (back) one and the vertical part it is an inch to long.
Picked up a M105 trailer from DRMO. In better shape than I expected. Lights even work.
Put in a new headlight and installed a new top on the Deuce. It does not fit quite right but is better than the old one I guess. I also got the wipers working and all the other lights except the parking...
Installed a new driver side door latch so I can get in without climbing over from the passanger side. I also lubed up the window crank stuff. You can roll up the window with 1 hand now.
