How do the hockey pucks center themselves in the cross member holes? What is the durometer rating on them? What length sleeve did you install into them to get the correct pressure into the mounts to isolate the vibrations the engine creates from the chassis and keep things from walking around...

I have not seen Brad here in a while. I know he moved, he was a mile up the road from me and I don't see his stuff there.

Better off using a Mac "S" wrench or a Snappy horse shoe wrench than a gear wrench. Gear wrench will not work with the support bkt. Brad, I see what happened. Call me before you start putting it back together. Get the gaskets for the pump....BPS for the power steering pump adapter to lube pump...

A second cap could mean a second water intrusion point. If it were me, I would pull the tank...you'll probably want to pull it to cut/weld the 2nd neck on it any how and they come out fast when empty....and take it here. Stanton Radiator 10645 Beach Blvd, Stanton, CA 90680 Phone: (714)...

You REALLY want bullet proof? Have them foam filled. You will never have tire issues until you need to change them, then they need to be put on a lathe and the tire/foam machined off. Don't know if it is available for on road aps though.

Yes, thimble is the name for the device holding the inner wheel to the hub.

You know not to toss the oil. Drain into a clean catch vessel, re install after the pan is back up. 7.5 gal low, 9 high. Check the stick calibration, remark if needed.

Call BPS truck parts to see if they are open, bring the dipstick to them, the probably have one. https://www.bpstruckparts.com/ Doubt they will even know of the trans, but the stoppers come in all kinds of sizes, OR buy one of these, https://www.mcmaster.com/2527k16, and pull the rubber off of it.

It means there needs to have the correct auto lash screws installed. I'm sure it does, looks like the engine left ReCon with the brakes installed...everything is painted the same.

This is what you need, If it were me, I would turn the governor around to match the way it sits on the old engine. Call if you need help, it takes 5 mins. https://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/brca51a1.html If you go to BPS truck parts in Irwindale, they probably have it. OR, leave it open when...

If gauges worked before, no reason to change them. The switches/sensors from the old engine will be fine in the new engine, the gauges will read correctly.....well, as correct as military gauges read. Swap old to new engine parts.
  17. WillWagner

    Artisan's M916

Brad, you should groom the sensors from the old to new engine. The sensors need to match your gauges. They will read incorrectly if they don't.

You need to get ahold of ReCon to see if there will be any guarantee. Only available AFTER you get an ESN

When you told me a Mil engine in the can, I was thinking military rebuild. Nope, that is a ReCon engine built by Cummins ReCon. It still has the warranty package on the engine. I would Call ReCon and see if the warranty is good on it. Has never been installed so there should be no warranty start...

It came out of an International......I would stay away from low flow cooling. Not just a simple matter of changing radiators. LFC engines were notorious for being chronic overheaters.
