Just a note to add to the spin on filter upgrade.
Be sure to tighten the little bleed screw on the front of the filter base.
I think I may not have closed it tight enough and air leaked in.
It is tight now, but since it is plastic, I didn't want to over tighten it.
I am still not positive this...
I did the above as per Marcus and I am glad I did. I found lots of little pieces of teflon
tape just waiting to jump in my IP. I highly recomend doing the mod this way with
the formagasket aviation sealant and NOT the teflon tape.
I am taking this man's advice and have ordered the peratex formagasket # 3 and I am going
to back out the fittings with the teflon tape and use the permatex. I really don't like the idea of teflon migrating to my IP.

I did this mod as well. Bought the head and filters from gimpyrobb.
I made one mistake when I put the cap back onto the top of the filter head.
Somehow I didn't get the o-ring in the right place. It started up fine the first time, but the next day it wouldn't start. I finally tracked down the...
