    I have had to pull my batts out and charge them individually. I don't think the charger built-in is very good. Once things are in place and working, make sure they don't get drained!

    So it seems the dimensions are very close on most of the batts I've found. Did your larger batts fit w/o modifying the batt tray? Could you post a model number?

    Just do a search for 12v 20ah sealed battery. I think Chrome Battery had the best price out of Indiana. There is room in the batt compartment for larger(more reserve- possibly double) batteries, but you'd have to modify the battery bracket and the cooler would be heavier.

    Have you tried hooking a dvm up to the input leads? Never know till you try if voltage will be present.

    You can borrow mine when you need it. There is another style blood cooler that is smaller and thermo-electric. That means they have no moving parts! They run on very little current and can still hold a case of beer. Cool stuff for sure.
