    bunch of brake line questions

the people at Memphis are great. I needed the short brake shoes for one wheel and was thinking I would have to buy the long ones as well, but they sold me just what I needed. They're in my M715 favorites file from then on!

    bunch of brake line questions

well, the CNF lines proved to be too soft to flare properly, so I switched to steel line. Got perfect flares and managed to bend the line close to the original. After a few leaking fittings were tightened up and a TON of air was purged from the system, the brakes work great. Now I need to...

    bunch of brake line questions

I could probably use your magic as the bends running to the wheel cylinder are rather snug. I bought a tubing bender and flaring tool and am only waiting for the line to arrive. it is CNF line which I have learned bends very easily. still, I plan to go slowly and meticulously the whole time...

    bunch of brake line questions

I am going to try to reuse the brake line I removed by cutting off the bad fitting and installing a union. I also plan to make a new stainless line just to learn how.

    bunch of brake line questions

The line was far too clean to be original. a bunch of repairs and mods were made by previous owner and the lines and hoses all look very new and match the military materials and coatings. That's why I think the are NOS.

    bunch of brake line questions

so, should I cut and reflare or just replace entire line?

    bunch of brake line questions

that's what I thought, which leaves the question why the NOS line had a single?

    bunch of brake line questions

Hi. I am in the process of working on my brakes and replacing the wheel cylinders, and have run into some issues with leaking brake fittings. I had a leak from the right rear fitting which had been buggered up by a previous owner. I removed the steel line to check the flares and discovered that...
