What did you do to your deuce this week?

I drag-raced a stranger in a 5-ton on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan in my Deuce during the Woodward Dream Cruise event. He won by a couple of feet. I let off when I saw that a very nice and expensive looking classic muscle car (a Cutlass 442, I think) was directly in front of me. It...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Tore off most of the injector lines to find where it was leaking fuel from on the hydraulic head. I was scared it might be an O ring problem. Turns out, the #4 injector line was loose at the hydraulic head. Took it out and reseated it....and (knock on wood) it seems to be leak free.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

58-Mississippi, 59-Mississippi...check. I am sure that part is being done WITHOUT any deviation (including the do not screw in part).

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hence the question: if I am one gallon low, why does the dipstick read "2" quarts low? It is odd.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I drained the Rotella 10w30 after two years and about 80 engine hours and replaced it with Travellers 15w40 from T.S.Co. (I switched to spin on filters about a month ago). I drained about 4 gallons out. Which leads me to this stellar question: what do the marks on the dipstick represent? I...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Welcome Lane. No wrenching in the near future. I'm not too far from you--i696 & i75. There is a meet and eat for M.V. owners/enthusiasts the first Monday of the month near Lansing. You should check it out. I'll try to find a link. Found: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?t=78294

What did you do to your deuce this week?

https://youtu.be/AgqogcHHu_I Installed Jatonka's spin-on adaptors for oil filters. Then made a video about it.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

It takes methanol vapors from the bottle and draws it into the air compressor. This will prevent any moisture in the air system from freezing and causing problems with the brakes. I seen it done on a different thread here on s.s. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?t=46312

Rigged this (alcohol evaporator) up because winter is coming (it gets cold in Michigan). Less than $20.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

On my deuce, (which I just painted...see picture) the fire department that had mine used it to fight forest fires. They removed the bumper a replaced it with custom one that incorporates a roll cage that's protected the cab.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Put the roof back together and took the kids for a ride.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Still re-doing the hard top: Bondo-hair and body filler applied to the numerous holes from all the lights and antennas. Making slow progress.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Made her into a convertible while I redo the hard top. In her second career, she was used to fight forest fires and had a thousand antennas and strobe lights on the roof.

Sanded and wire brushed the rust from the bed. Then primed and them painted a flat black protective enamel.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Insane amount of time, you ask. I spent an insane amount of time getting a stuck & stripped male pipe plug at the rear of the block out a few weeks ago.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

My radiator is at the radiator hospital right now with the same problem. They said it might need a complete rebuild of the lower tank on the future. Hopefully their solder job holds.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hooked up the coolant filter. Then used an "easy-out" (which wasn't all that easy) to remove that evil, evil, evil male pipe plug in the rear of the block for the circulating tank block heater. Special thanks to Darrell from Bridgewater (Johnson Controls) and Scott from American Axle for the...
