You said on the other forum that only the pump was not working. I would Hotwire a different quality pump and see if it works.

Anyon have info on what is on FB? I don’t use social media.
I bought the KA5066 for my truck and so far I am really happy. Not sure if I would be more happy with the FB one…but curious what the guy is selling all the same.
Btw, I got the ka5066 for $200 ea when I got them.

Also, unless you have a forklift handy, having you bed at 5’ in the air is pretty useless for normal hauling. I would make a box how you want it, then put a drop hitch for a normal trailer.
Just my opinion.

You can leave the intake where it is and have a crawl through. The tire has to go, the hydraulic pump gets moved down…. But you can do it. The issue is your box has to clear the filter so you may have a notch in the box. That is what I plan to do.

No problem. There should be a connector that is round attached to the original mounting bracket. That is your port for reading codes. Make sure you can still access that. Maybe route that cable off to the side or flip the cab to access. Preferably on the side of it will reach.

I may be wrong, but I believe the 1088 has a stiffer spring pack. The tongue weight rating on those things is HUGE compared to the 5ton rating on the 1083. Also, I think the frame is stiffer in the 1088 due to the point load of the fifth wheel. Also, the 1088 has different CTIS settings, so they...
Realistically, you have to decide how off-road you will go. My old Tacoma shows the scars of not having enough departure angle on its diy armored bumper. If you know you will never need it and never plan to do dunes or steep transitions, river crossings, etc.... do what you want. It is your...
You may want to confirm how they calculate wheelbase. My understanding is that they measure from the front axle centerline to the bogie pin between your rear tires. On the data sheets for the 1088, it is 4100mm or 161in. 75% is 120”, but that is measured to the bogie pin between the rear tires...
Some countries limit the overhand as a fraction of the wheelbase (front wheel to center of double bogie). I remember it is 2/3 or 1/3 for Australia. I could not find anything for the US.
You may look more than I did just to be sure. It would suck to get much further and find out there is a...
Enjoying the build.
Just a thought.... instead of using all-thread in your design, why not use something like this:
https://www.dsuban.com/product/3-4-x-14-threaded-rod-p2099/
You will not have any threads rubbing as the subframe separates from the truck frame.
Just a thought.
