What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Thanks. I was hoping someone would confirm this. I was 95% sure it was stainless but couldnt be sure since i dont know of too many stainless steel tanks. Lifting one by yourself you get to feel the full weight as well.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

yesterday during the "heat wave" in wisconsin (45-50 degrees lol) i continued my work on the fuel system on my M927A2. I removed the fuel tank in order to clean out the particulate that was in there. I wanted to repair the drain valve since it wouldnt even open for me so i had to pump the whole...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Changed it out with a new one and it works well now. The pressure builds but im now afraid that the pressure goes too high. The aux tank built pressure faster than the main and didnt stop at 120psi. I think the tech manual says that its supposed to cut off at 120psi but i could be wrong. Maybe a...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

No. Sorry maybe i didnt explain it well. Air is dumping out of the exhaust opening. Im sure there was air leaking out of the loose fittings but i couldnt tell over the noise from the air escaping from the exhaust port. the only air i could actually feel with my hand was pretty much an...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Ok, i took it apart and it looks brand new inside. However, i know that can mean nothing in the long run. So you suggest just replacing it? I also dont know if the correct hoses were in the correct inlets. Cant seem to find a diagram for that.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

So I was messing around under the dash of my M927A2 trying fix some air leaks and noticed that push pull valve was dumping air out of its exhaust. Its fittings were loose but that wasnt my concern. the problem was that the air pressure wasnt building because of it. Been through the Tech manuals...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I don't think it is operational. My front two tires go flat if I leave it for a couple of months. They don't fill when I'm running the truck either. Sent from my XP7700 using Tapatalk

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

No dummy lights, no issues with air brakes. To me someone just made some kind of bypass but i have no idea what its for. I drove the truck from one storage to another before I saw this and nothing seemed off.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

looks good. since you seem to have both trucks let me ask you a question. Why would AM General move an easy-ish air filter box on the M809s to a more difficult space on the M939s under the cab? Also why did they move the exhaust from the front of the cab to the rear of the cab? I ask the second...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

So i finally was able to move my M927A2 to a better more secure storage area and it was cheaper! Just some things that i noticed that after i moved it. the throttle cable was broken inside the cab and ill probably have to replace the whole thing Found some foam on the ground under the engine...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

thats my thoughts exactly. ive also heard that using a stand up freezer is the good cause they have more insulation and you just set it at the highest temp. Ive heard some people install a switch so they can be turned off at night to save energy and just turn them back on in the morning.
