I went to replace the short oil hose on the bottom of the ip, found the one I had made still has the wrong fittings. So I tried tightening the one that's on there, and snap! Broke the connector on the hose.
So then as I'm crawling out from under the truck, I notice a bad spot in the sidewall...
Yesterday I installed the remote brake reservoir. Then took the War Department for her first ride (an ammo can delivery.) About 80 miles round trip.

My slats are fiberglass. So I just drilled what holes I needed and will come back later and fill the others with epoxy, then repaint.
I think if I were to replace them, I'd try to find another set of fiberglass ones. There's just not a whole lot that can go wrong with them.

Last night I started working on my troop seats. Turns out I don't have all the right stakes. I have two passenger side front stakes and no driver's side rear.
I may just drill new holes in the slats and make that sucker work anyway.
After the axle seal project Friday and Saturday, I took it easy today and vacuumed the gravel out of the stake holes that were filled with gravel.
There is so much to do to the truck I almost feel guilty for spending time on something so trivial at this point.
