Could be another thread, but I have no issues with my original run flat tires. No wobble, no shake, nothing. I am eventually going to swap them into new-ish tires I have sitting, and don’t know why I’d change them out for inserts. Have I just been lucky?
Did the idler arm, man, the 18 year olds had the bolts backwards, I almost had to drain the coolant to get them out. And I did one side of tie rods. Think I need to do the other side., and a small toe in adjustment.
Did some maintenance on the truck. Finally got around to changing the front boots on the ball joints. They were ok on uppers, but completely dead on lowers. Everything got new boots (energy suspension ones) On the passenger side, I adjusted the hub to line things up, and heard a clunk. I didn’t...
I put on a new top, as the old one’s threading and Velcro was starting to come loose. Finally installed the bed aluminum piece to keep water from coming into the truck. I had a cargo cover on there to keep things dry. But, removed the top and put the truck flap back in time for Colorado to get...
I did curbside pickup at Carrabba’s. They don’t have “3 color camo” as a car color when you order online. I asked about changing the website to accommodate the HMMWV color scheme, they didn’t get it.
Oil change and tightened up the transmission pan. 12 ft / lbs is not a lot, but the bolts tightened up, hopefully that will stop my minor drips that seem to have developed over the past couple of months.
I did notice that when reversing and applying brakes it felt like more noise then when...
Checked HOA docs, just like my city code it’s 72 hours of being in a spot not moved or two week if I am on vacation, it’s abandoned and three have the right to tow it at my expense. I drive it every two or three days so I’m good there.
Well, I don’t think it’s the noise, several neighbors...
Well, I guess I made some new friends. Found this note tucked in on the door hinge.
Truck is parked on the road, registered and insured.
Don’t you just love your neighbors?
And that isn’t nail polish on my thumb! Slammed it in the car door trying to close it carefully so I wouldn’t...
Moved it around while jockeying space in the garage, and discovered a transmission oil drop about a dime size and a diesel drop about a quarter that appears to be around the tank. Truck has been sitting in that spot for about two months. Inspection time..
Swapped out lenses. They weren't too bad, but you couldn't see through them.
Then I saw a small sand pile that needed some attention.

That a great spot rcamacho, I'll second this one. My only "leak" actually comes down the soft top channel, then down onto the pillar, around it, onto where the windshield meets, and then into this spot. It's not a lot, but could ruin some electronics. My leak is probably a job for a light...
I said I'd report back. Well, it's a block heater. I only got to run it for .5 an hour, and it didn't lift the temp needle, but it started up at 37 degrees with no smoke, so better than no heat. And no leaks is the best part. Just be ready with a bucket for the extra bit of antifreeze that...
