That looks very CTIS to me, like a speed sensor. You’re going to have to trace that guy, it looks like it’s coming off the wet tank?
And someone here had a signature attributed to another member. Something like “any good repair starts with staring at it like an idiot for a good half an hour”...
I'm not a country fan either, actually rockabilly, which has some country roots, but we still love ya. Ok, back on track? I just ordered some opti-lube for fuel additive. Planning on firing up the truck after a 4 month hiatus on Thursday. 70 degrees forecasted in Denver and taking work off...
I think the benefits are making me read more of the site.. His original post had me searching for about two hours while I couldn't sleep. I got into biodiesel, oil additives, what happens when you accidentally put gas in, and lots of "data" on why it was the best and worst for the truck...
I didn't think that speaker would keep up, but it did remind me of a song I heard about four months ago at a concert.

I was just in CT where it was -5, and now back in CO, it was 68 today. Ahhh. I should have gone to see the truck. It misses me. We did plan its next camping adventure for the spring. A State park. Now, take the MKT or the Drash tent and trailer. Decisions.

200 degrees for the stock one, although there is a debate on that. I think it's a perfect temp.
The PPV is that little valve in the pict coming off the wet tank. It looks like a knob that can turn. (this pict is NOT an A2, and is missing the CTIS switch lead)
The TM shows a good picture...
Well then grab the CPU, all the wheel valves, counterbalance and hardware, and the pneumatic valve (on the cab floor), the pressure sensor is near the PPV, by the wet tank, and is super fragile looking dongle / harness. I'm all set, but several people on here were looking for that piece. And...
After 5 trips to a salvage yard, my thoughts are grab anything and everything if it's in good shape. We sort of kicked ourselves when the fun stopped and recounted what we could have gotten that went to the crusher. However, it's a bit tough to get rid of stuff sometimes. 24v stuff is always...
Dude, that sucks. I thought you had the washers on already? I think I am going to do mine this winter. I am just happy those didn't go when doing 60. Mine came off when I had just gotten off the highway. So drill or weld, what's the concencus?

I used some sticky backed heat and sound insulation made for replacements, probably $130 shipped, I posted in this thread on the details about a year ago. I am traveling, so forgot manufacture. Worked out great.

Swapped out the old axle vents. The two back ones let out a good puff when unscrewed, figure that was my issue. Did DOT fittings, but one is not holding when pulled, so will replace. Haven't permanently mounted it, still trying to find the best spot. Needed 50 ft roll to get it done...
I just have a hunch my axle vents are blocked up, and that's why I got some oil out of my pinion seal. I got some new take off ones in KS before, but I think I'll fix this for good. Ordered all the parts to swap my axle breathers to be be brought up to the cab. Did DOT fittings and tubing to...
