Somewhere there's a video of a female who'd propped her feet on the dash. Quick brake application popped her off the seat into the passenger floorboards, feet around her ears, and totally unable to extricate herself. That was only a minor brake application. An accident would have much worse, and...

Yes, they are violent, but require an electrical signal to ignite. Unless you have Takata airbags.

My Zombie Emergency Response Vehicle (the green truck in my pic) is a 1984 Suburban chassis with a Jurassic Truck T-Rex kit (defunct as of 2002). I put a set of similar seats in this vehicle as well. I'm familiar with racing seats, but wanted recline option without spending $$$. Used I think I...

Yes, that would be me, with the Civic SI seats in my M1081. I had to grind off the loops that bolted to the floor of the donor car and fab up some brackets from UniStrut, then bolt it on to the base where the original seat was. They look nice and are very comfortable. However, beware of in-seat...

The crane is just like a engine puller crane - it has a hand-pump self-contained hydraulic cylinder. instead of the legs and casters on the ground of the engine puller, the post is on a bearing and can pivot 360 degrees. I glom'ed this photo from the seller's site (Northern Tool part number...

I had a steel plate welded to the top of a piece of 4" square tubing, about 12" long, that fits into the pockets in the bed of my M1081. There is a thick piece of rubber between the plate, and a hole drilled in the post for the pin in the pocket. On top of that, I bolted an Ultra-Tow hydraulic...

Opening a connection on the engine head? Should work, as you said you got fuel out when using the primer bulb. Same as pulling the bolt on the big filter mount. The filter mount bolt allows complete filling of the filters, there still should be fuel remaining in the high pressure pump. Maybe...

All lots of good preventative maintenance. Now, stupid question: Did you bleed the fuel system after replacing the lines and filters? There's a bolt on the top of the fuel filter housing (-24P, Figure 33, Part 2) that you should loosen nearly completely when pumping the primer bulb on top of the...

Very nice rig - not only the upgrade lights, but also a nice newer-style grill in the front. I can see one reason it's not a runner: the rear drive shaft disassembled in the cab. First thing I'd find a good truck driveline shop and take the shaft down for rebuild. Probably do the front as well...
