I have measured the stroke in my type 1 VW engine a couple dozen times and keep getting 80mm, all my racing friends tell me the cranks came in 78 and 82mm (and others) but not 80mm, so I figured maybe there used to be 80mm cranks but no longer, well there are 80mm cranks!
I suspect my engine will have 92mm pistons so that should place my little bug engine at around 2130cc
