Anyone have any spare bottom winshield frames that are not rotted that they would not mind donating to a Boy Scout Troop for the duece I just purchased them.

I have not started to look around to purchase these yet and not sure how much they should go for.

Does anyone have a approx figure?

Most of the winshields I have seen on the market NOS with glass and all go for $125-175. Some of the parts places might want to take a taz deduction by donating to the BSA. Call Jay or Mark at Saturn and see if they are interested. Great guys. Tell them you found them at SS Forums. (717) 692-9500

:shakehead: No luck, shot Jay and Marc a fax and then corresponded by email.

They currently have nothing laying around right now and have torn the place apart looking.

They boys will need to wait a little longer as I can not afford to purchse the two windshields with the fames for now.

Either way when there is a will there is a way and I'll find something I can do.

Maybe I'll tear them appart and have someone cut the metal out and weld seme steel in somehow and then replace the glass.

There is a junk yard a couple of towns over that had some M35's come in and when I spoke to the guy they were getting ready to scrap them as most items had been striped off already.

Maybe just maybe there might be a couple of good frames that I can get them to part with.

I only really need the bottom (3) sides.

We need to see if we can get John Tennis to make stainless windshield frames. The originals and even the new ones almost always rust. I'll contact John myself.

My son and I went to the salvage yard today. We scored big time!

They had some M35's that they purchased from MAANG for salvage and had already stripped off all the items that they wanted. They were getting ready to shred them for scrap steel, so I figured let me inquire and see what happens.

They gave us the okay to take off whatever we needed at no charge.

We were able to get the following:

(3)bottom winshield frames :hop: :hop:

(2)direcitional cages :hop:

(2)directionals for the front :hop:

(2)front bumper steps :hop:

(1)pioneering rack :hop:

(1)On/off power switch with dataplate :hop:

(1)gauge consol with all gauges :hop:

(1)positive battery cable to starter :hop:

(1)passenger mirror :hop:

(1)NATO recepticle :hop:

(1)OLD style recepticle :hop:

(1)bridge plate w/all the numbers :hop:

(1)winshlied wiper motor/metal :hop:

A good friend bought us (2)brand new marine batteries with 800 cranking amps as a present. :hop: :hop:

My goodness, christmas was not this good. :yeah:

Truck runs great! Now we just have to change out all the fluids and filters.

We will have to send the salvage yard a thank you letter and some dunkin donuts or something to thank them for the over $400.00 in parts that they gave us.

Regards,
