I remember seeing a classified ad a few weeks ago of a Gentleman selling a dropside securing rod. This is the part that holds the dropside in place when opening the tailgate. I've searched and can't find the ad now. I'd like to purchase this item so I don't have to fab one up. Anyone remember who it was, or can you direct me to the ad? TIA

I wanted a set also but found a pair when cleaning out my truck. I have new drop sides on my Duece and when I use them they hold the sides so good I cant get my tail gate shut. So I only use them when the gates dropped. Maybe thats the idea of it.

I only got one when I bought the truck from GL. The side that doesn't have the brace, is a bear to close and I have to get all manly with it to get the T bolt in and the wing nut screwed down. Are you ready to come Home yet?
