diferent types of 105 hubs?

I was at the local hunny pot (scrap yard) and came across what looks to be the remnance of a 105 trailer. its been butchered pretty bad but the part that cought my eye was the axle, its dust cap for the bearring is different than any of my 105 axles. Could someone explain why there there are 8 much larger bolts? Mine just have 3 small ones. Is there something special about this?
