Exhaust help

I'm trying to put my exhaust back together in the M342a2 that I just bought at auction.
The exhaust was missing from the flex pipe back. I'm just working from the pictures in the tm 9-2320-209-20p. I've assembled everything I needed working from fig 47. But for the life of me I can't see how part #29 fits in. The diagram show that it has it own bolt at one end and shares one at the other. I thought it went from the clamp #18 to the clamp #2 but it does'nt line up and that end has its own bolt. Where am I going wrong?

I think this picture shows #29-it is a bracket running from the exhast clamp to the inner fender.

I dont have any holes near here. Must have been a change somewhere thru the years. You can just see the top of the brace in #5 and the bottom bolt in #3. Mines a 73 AM General. I knew I would find the answer here. Anybody need a brace?

I don't have the bracket from the feder to the pipe either. I would think it would cause problems when the engine torques over or the truck flexes on rough terrain.

yea, that bracket runs from a hole in the cab to the now flapping inner fender. In the Non turbo trucks there is a chunk of sheet metal to makes the connection.I had to cut mine off.It was about 6 or 7" tall and did a 90 degree to the cab to a single bolt. They could have positioned the picture a few thousands of an inch off from the clamp bolt....But like nearly all goverment kits, they were drawn by complete idiots that never have even touched a deuce or a wrench by the looks of it......
