Howdy folks I figured someone here would be interested in this item.......
It's rated at 15kW but breaker'ed at 90 amps (21.6kW) 240v single/split phase and has less than 520 hours on the clock. This was an FAA contract so the Hercules D2300 is way more than you need for this much generator. It had to be able deliver 100% capacity upon startup, so I guess that's why they did it like this. Has a 15kW load bank built and and it doesn't even blink an eye when the 62.5 amp load hits it. I've had this for 3 years now. Went through and fixed a bunch of things, but I just don't have time to make it 100%. Cleaned the injectors, new radiator, new thermostat, new anti-vibration mounts at front (only ones that needed replacing), new Cummins oil and fuel filter bases and new hoses, Racor style water seperator, new throttle controller and speed sensor. This unit was meant to hook up to a bulk diesel tank and has the transfer switch on board. The battery system uses 4 8V golf cart batteries. Has small oil leak from oil pan gasket and one of the florescent lights could use a ballast. I will include a new modern genset and transfer switch controller with the sale. Asking $11500. Will entertain any serious offer. Pickup in College Station TX. Here's a vid of it firing up. Unit is very quiet with all the doors closed.
