Help Identifying headset

I have this headset, which is single ear cup.
The plug is something I have not previously seen before.
In addition to the main plug, about halfway down the cord, it branches off and goes to two
spade terminals. There are no manufacturers name or part number visible.

Has anyone seen one of these before?
Any idea what it would've gone to?
