how to post pictures from photobucket

I want to post a pic from photobucket and have it render on the forum without creating an attachment or a hyperlink, just show the picture.

Any remotely hosted image will show up as a hyperlink instead of a embedded image. Please upload directly to the site.

was there a change sometime after that thread to remove the functionality? I hate to use up SS storage when they are hosted for free elsewhere.

Vendors forum and Classifieds allow the remote hosted image because the posts either get pruned or removed over time. The functionality was intentionally disabled long ago in order to prevent dead links/images.
